What will the AA majority demand the US employees concede?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the AA fas outnumber US fas by 2 to 1?

You're correct. AA has about 16,000 FAs compared to US with about 6,500. According to 700UW, there won't even be an election unless the AFA collects a lot of cards. The APFA will represent the combined workgroup.

PHX may see some cuts, but you really are clueless with your assumption of PHL.

If/when US and AA combine, I expect to see some rationalization at PHX and I agree with you - PHL will probably not see downsizing. US has built a fortress hub in the nation's fifth or sixth largest metro area - and that won't be given away.

Silverbird is an AA f/a, as am I. There is a lot of sentiment among the more junior f/as to replace APFA. Due to the APFA's focus on nothing except maintaining bennies for the senior f/as, the junior ones have been thrown under the bus more than once.

I think it's funny how all these people insisting US still hasn't finished its last merger are the same ones seemingly bent on sabotaging the next.

Yea I think if we were to have a real vote (no cheating or manipulating) the AFA would probably win. They seem to do a great job for UAL and WN so im sure they would do fine with AA/US combined. At least the HQ wouldnt be in AA HQ's back parking lot. Im grateful for having a union but i think we could do better. My best friend works for United and even after their bankruptcy they kept doubletime for holidays, decent duty rigs, they just got a nice raise, not to mention a buy-out that was almost double AAs. No the AFA is not perfect but you can bet AA will do anything to keep APFA and that says it all.

WN's flight attendants are TWU, not AFA.

US AFA moved to CLT a few years back and in the process raised the dues.

So say US is going to stay AFA(they hold a grudge for the alleged TWA stapling thingy) can you come up with a sure 5000 votes from APFA?

Thing is that I'm betting their are also disgrunted AFA members that will vote for APFA, and most of the sure to change APFA members will say what you want to hear, and stay APFA.

Just a thought that may be off the mark, but would your seniority to AFA put you under US fas? Being a junior it probably won't matter to you.

My mistake, i was thinking about Airtran, they were AFA. I dont think it matters which union we have in the end, none have the power to strike so we really dont have much leverage anyway. Anyway Happy Thanksgiving! 😀

Yes I would be under approx 80% of the US fas. My seniority would stay about the same.

How do you figure? PHL and JFK are next door neighbors in airline terms. AA will move all the transatlantic action to Kennedy and PHL will be a greatly reduced domestic only hub. At best.

lol yeah, because airline hub dynamics are just that simple. I'm impressed by the great faith you put in your own prognostications.

Whatever people think, the gentlepig put me on ignore because I would give it a run for its money. This proves yet again that I am ME...
