Outstanding.....you are indeed one lucky man...
To all,

Thank you all for the very moving posts. I will print them and the pics and give them to my parents so they can put them on the wall in their assisted lliving apartment. Convincing my parents to give up their independence has been the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life. Nothing I have done in my 41 years of flying for a living comes cllose to how tough it has been to convince someone who survived the great depression and WWII that it is time to let someone else take control of their llives. I am indeed one of the luckiest people on earth to stilll have parents at the age of 63 and a wife and two children and friends like Capt Ed Tabler who put all else aside to help me take care of them

Fondest regards,

Bob Moore and family

If it's any comfort, just know that acting now to move them to assisted living was really in their best interest in the long term. Most people do not realize that many assisted living facilities will accept new residents if they are still somewhat independent.......but if they require too much care, they will not accept them as new residents. (Obviously once they are there, they can stay.) So.......as difficult as it is, taking control of their living situation now now will save both you and your parents a great deal of anguish down the line.

And you can all feel free to throw my words back in my face in about 40 years, when it's my turn to go into assisted living. ;)
