I wondered that... is it actually 700? Now it makes me sad that that proud plane has been abused...

Kind of on the same topic, if you haven't yet, go to our codeshare partner's board and check out thier new marketing campaign. I love it, the print ads and commercials are awesome, they really make you feel good about United. Why can't, or rather why won't US Airways do this?

Yes it is 700UW.....a bit of irony. A clip of what was to be....and what shouldn't be all in one.

Hopefully things will sort out...and 700's next major check will be at the hands of the rightfull owners. The USAirways , IAM represented Mechanic and Related Employees !!

Light Years!!!I loved it. The music is great. How do I get to the codeshare sight????
Where I live, I have been seeing alot of American Commercials. They are pretty good too. Thanks. kt. :D

Kt-

Just on the United board, I should have been more clear... I think the title is something about Rhapsody in Blue, it has a link to thier ads, I believe the UA website does too. They will premiere during the Oscars tonight. I love them! Particularly the ad with the job interview and the print ad "Seashell." Good for them! Murderers have better publicity than US Airways. God forbid they think up a theme, slogan, or even reason to exist.

Does anyone recognize which airport this was filmed at?
Probably some airport that doesn't even have mainline service anymore

Either Toulouse or Hamburg would be my guess, based on the mustard-colored jets being assembled in the background.

And yes, I did get a warm, fuzzy feeling watching those.

Brings us back to a better time.. When we thought everything was going to be wonderful and better..

A dream that has drifted away.. Very sad.

They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-haaa!
Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go berserk?
Well. . .

You left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!
Hah. . .

Well you just wait
They'll find you yet
And when they do they'll
Put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!
And. . .

I've seen those videos before, nice touch I might say.

N700UW has been a good friend of mine over the years.

Amazing to think that when that was filmed, the future for US Airways looked so bright. In hindsight, nobody could have predicted what was going to happen to the industry, but imagine if the employees had taken pay cuts back in 97 when Wolf asked? Maybe the "Global Carrier of Choice" would have worked out, and maybe the company would have 400+ A/C now. Makes you wonder - I'm sure it never would have gotten to the point of "there is no plan B."

I hope that if the company does make it, the "Pan-Andean Theme" will return. I simply cannot understand the logic behind "Traditional Transformation" - I've never liked it, never will.
