Ha, ha. I like www.usandaa.com but us.aa.com would be easier to type. Damn it Why didn't I think to buy a bunch of those when I was watching those Go Daddy comercials during the super bowl!

Sounds like US is trying to keep the idea alive or maybe trying to head off a "keep DL our DL"-type site, and Ted is doing his part.

"The names were registered through DNStinations, an affiliate of brand protection company MarkMonitor."

Oddly enough for someone allegedly in the brand protection business, DNStinations is the registrar of such names as "Walmart Sucks"...

Not odd. Helping clients to identify and acquire domain names that could potentially be used to harm them seems to be a part of their business model.

Well that puts in in perspective, lol. Whether or not it was meant to be funny, beer shot out my nose on that one. I know the joke's really on me, as my livelihood is tied up with this company, but I couldn't help but laugh in a shaking my head kind of way.

The Omnipresent Cynic in me says they did it and publicized it to give the stock a short term bump so the Executives could get their quarterly Bonus. Only problem with that scenario is I don't think they got quarterly bonuses.

That said I think perhaps this is a defensive move in case something does transpire. Now does anyone think, know if the big boys at AA & US are talking formally or informally?

Way to spin it both ways! :)

Well I'm kind of shocked this happened or that it went public.

My gut tells me it's some kind of signal to the investment community. What the signal says is pure speculation. Truth is we'll know when it happens.

Wow. It must be! When do I get my new uniform?

For 16 bucks spent, look at all the media hype!

Strangely, a certain pilot didn't report this. Is he nursing a champagne hangover this morning? :p
