Remarkable, stood five feet from a section chairman this afternoon listening to him telling another clerk "There was no agreement signed by the TWU with USAirways".It's really comical because he got agitated when pressed on the matter.

Is Airways's term sheet good ? Yes or No??

As far as saving jobs..not bad...401k match down to 3% but applies to OT...not too bad. Would have to see medical plans and costs...

But a page and half term sheet doesn't say it all. Just like AA's term sheets...WAIT until you read the ENTIRE contract..

I hope noone believes that the term sheets are the ONLY changes.
Wait until the language is made public.

It also depends how both unions play the memberships against each other and how the Titles are used against each other.

As for the TWU issued USAIR term sheet there are no compensation changes or protections, so it is hard to compare.

Yes, hard to compare.....I can't wait to see how 3000 jobs were saved.

no not really, but remember the iam is currently trying to settle a new contract with usair the most likely reason for no pay raises.

on the postive side if there is one. we willn't be locked into a 6 year agreement with aa.

we gave in 2003, its been over nine years and what has aa done for us lately? nothing except to try and beat us down some more, and we continue on saving aa time and time again!!!!

There is no morale here and we aren't at the end yet! Things and attitudes are change quickly. Guys that you could count on before are telling you to go pound sand!!!!!!!

There was a time when coming into work seemed fun and enjoyed the job. Now its just bitterness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to see how the TWU intends to save 3000 jobs?

PAYCUTS FOR EVERYONE?

This secrecy and confidentiality crap is getting real old.

Take it for what its worth, but I heard 2-3% paycut, EWR and BDL closing in 501,12% increase in medical coverage costs, some other muttered mumbo jumbo...typical TWU tap dancing.

Furlough Protection. For the two year period following the Closing Date, the Company will maintain (i.e., protect from furlough) those approximately 4,500 AMTs at TULE.

Sounds to me like US will only protect the jobs in TULE for a couple years. How many could be laid off after 2 years is only anybody's guess....

Line AMT Jobs Saved. Under the M&R 1113 Proposal, there would also be a headcount reduction of approximately 425 AMTs working in line maintenance. This Term Sheet modifies the M&R 1113 Proposal by reducing that headcount reduction by 250. The Company will place these 250 AMTs in line maintenance operations at locations to be determined by the Company.

Seems that 250 Line AMT's could be moved to a station at the companies choice.

I don't care for any CBA that has a term greater than 3 years. Given the increased size of the combined fleets, they will require a certain level of Mtc.....

nothing to write home about, didnt get any warm fuzzys reading it. Vote NO and lets fight it out
