How else are they going to kiss DoUgIe's a$$ when he flies to ABQ if they can't serve him his cocktail of choice?

Who are you talking about? Who is "thier"?

The F/As on the west have been without a contract for awhile now, the union should put pressure on mgmt to hurry up on the combined contract, not do deeds for the company.

I'll state right off the bat that I have no connection w/management nor do I normally take their side on this board.
The humiliation DP received in front of DAL, his employees and the world probably wasn't very pleasant.
There is something about posts like this that bother me a little bit. He served his time in a very public way. I imbibe from time to time as do others on this board(as you can tell from some of the postings).
I understand anger about things at work as well as others having problems with DUIs but this has become some kind of one liner when there is nothing else of importance to say. Not every person on this board who has had a DUI has it constantly used as a punch line. The dead horse has been beaten.

They don't want a contract! They think our wagons are hitched back East and are on our way to bring them down...as if!

I agree. Good grief--many of us just haven't been caught (yet). I think it kind of makes him more human. Sort of...

From what I understand, west has a pretty crappy RSV system.

Good to see Mr. G. Richardson has his eye on the ball.

Oh Lord, you could say that for anything....

Yep, he sure does have his eye on the ball. NOT! There are a thousand things he could/should be focusing on but instead he is helping the company get a d**n liquor license for New Mexico. What I want to know is what do we get in exchange for "helping" the company get this license? Some relief for the reserve system? NO. Something better than the constant sh***y bids? NO. Insistance that there actually be some productive contract negotiations? NO. How about insisting that someone get their heads out of their asses when it comes to staffing? Nope. BUT, wait...we did get a side letter agreement on a uniform replacement system! Yipee!!!! What a bunch of s**t. Rome is basically burning and he's got front row seats. God forbid the man stand up a show some back bone. WHEN IS THE UNION GOING TO HOLD THE COMPANY ACCOUNTABLE? Never. It's all a bunch of bull s**t.

Whew...I feel better now. :)
