US Airways Dish Dash Employee Preview Sale

like most of you kool aid drinking westies, you lose more credibility with every keystroke.
everything is fine. usairways is doing GREAT! we (the east)are making money. screw the fflyers. the weather is fine. our reservation software rocks!
if this is what retirement is like, i want to retire yesterday. (and i am almost 40 years too young...)
ps-you should really consider changing your avatar to the iraqi official who ALSO believed what he was saying was true when he said the Americans were being killed off and retreating...pineybob can probably e-mail that image to you. it would give you more credibility...
Why is it always "East" vs "West" here.. what ever happened to trying to run one company, regardless of the issues that we can't individually control? (Other than demonstrations and stuff, which get the attention of corporate.)

Do you think it has been easy for the "America West" side? I'm sure you'd like to think it's so convenient for a LCC coming and saving your job.

*Glares* And this is coming from someone who's first flight ever was on a USAir flight! I have NEVER flown HP prior to working for the company. The only reason why I work there is because it's one of the largest employers in Phoenix area that throws bait at you and reels you in and stamps a "Gotya" stamp on your ass.

Any, YES, I do care about how our company runs and I see everyday the customers that we screw over.. why don't I complain about it? Because I want to keep my job! I don't go stabbing the company I work for in the back. That's pointless. It's like "I HATE MY JOB. GIVE ME MY PAYCHECK?!" .. you just make it miserable for everyone when you don't enjoy what you're doing.

I'm sure you'll find that the people "out west" don't have a rosey "things are great" feeling about the airline. We're an embarrassment to Phoenix. Everytime US Airways or CEO Doug gets drunk, it goes out all over the country and makes everyone look bad. If it had been anyone else, they would have canned their ass.. I'm sure he pleaded for his job!

Bah @ all that kool-aid crap. Well, we do our jobs just like you guys out East do your jobs. If you don't like the situation, write your congressman! (PAX BILL OF RIGHTS!)

If it was truly one company both east and west employees would be making the same wage and have the same benefits.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

The company wants to keep the employees divided.

You know.. that is a good point. A real shame, but a good point. And I noticed they even distinguish who's west and who's east via EMAIl, yes EMAIL. Westies have "." in between their first and last name and east emps have a "_" in between. Maybe it's from merged email systems, but seems really fishy to me.

Geek, is this an accurate assessment of the email system here? (if she sees it)

I am not an email administrator but do work with them.
The "_" on the east side is just how EDS configured the Lotus Notes email. All new email is being created with a "." It doesn't matter if they were old east or west. They are not distinguishing between the two. Doesn't matter to us. We are really trying to make everything equal. Just like the NT accounts, EDS created them using the users "U" number. We use the standard of first initial, last name to a total of 8 digits. This is the standard going forward for all users. I have created a number of accounts for "old east users". So there is no conspiracy of any kind to make a difference between "east" and "west". Just the melding of two different systems.
The largest issue we are having is the large number of people who are used to having to just call up EDS to have them do what ever they want.
They don't seem to understand that they can change out that keyboard by themselves. And save the company $200. Because that is about what EDS used to charge US Airways to change that keyboard out.

We raised $15,000 for the US Airways Education Foundation. Items that were not sold were donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank.

Usually when LCC wants to make money off its employee's it just cuts their pay. Now they are selling employees old leftover crap, calling it memorabilia. I think when employees want enjoyable memorabilia they can save a buck and just look at their old pay stubs.
