US Airways chief persistent in putting together top airline

Just to set the record straight, the friends I was referring to in my previous post were pilots and flight attendants. While I do have some friends who are agents, I was referring to those I know who are flight crew.

I stand by my previous comments.

My BEST to you all...

Do tell your big corporate fast track to success

Its called happiness. I like my job. I get paid well. And my work ethic is appreciated. When I get bored with my job or think I need to move to the next level to satisfy my need for more responsabilties and pay then at that time I will act upon it. I do not expect the company to hand it to me unlike union employees.

And those two groups have noone but themselves to blame for their current situations. The pilots with their childish feud over seniority intigration and the east flight attendants and their me to clause tied to the east pilots.

Congratulations to Mr Parker and his team for accomplishing what will be seen as one of the greatest corporate takeovers in history. AA thought they could waltz their way through bankruptcy court but the carpet was yanked out from under them by Mr Parker and his team. BRILLIANT MOVES (see history) . The court, wall st., and Joe Blow might call it a merger, but it is a TAKE OVER and once again Mr Parker and his team deserve the highest accolaides the business community can provide in recognition of the fact they (Mr Parker and team)will be in charge. They are TAKING OVER AA.

Good Job, use lots of this...

I'm sure it appears "childish" to you, but until you have "walked in their shoes," please keep your snooty opinion to yourself.

At its core, it is FAR from childish, although there has been a lot of childish rhetoric swirling around the issue for years.

Its not a snooty opinion but an opinion that quite a few if not a majority of the employees (not counting the flight attendants) have about the pilot group.

Sorry if it hurts your feelings but the east pilots brought it upon themselves.

Hopefully with this merger and the end of us airways as an entity alot of this bickering can be put to rest.

What's childish about it is they've precluded any notion of reconciliation. Now see what professional adults would do is try to come to some kind of renegotiation or compromise; to go back to the table as it were. Could have had a decent contract years ago. Instead they went crying to the courts like children to a parent, appealing to Authority to impose the will of one on the other.

No hurt feelings here, but I am worried about your happiness quotient being diluted by your snooty opinion! Of course you do realize that having an opinion is part of being happy, so be assured you aren't the only one happy here.
