Here is a link to the company's last proposal prior to seeking mediation on Nov 7th.

It is disturbing that up to the presentation of this proposal the teamsters had been characterizing the situation as one in which they hoped to "finalize" an agreement in.

Speaking with a lot of the SFO membership throughout the day on this after it broke early Friday,  there was no one with anything good to say about it.

Reading both and all updates you list above, one has to ask, where the hell were the negotiations from May 13 to Nov 13? Why wasn't there any nego's during this time? Seems to me the teamsters have failed to continue the "direct nego" as they were prior to May. Also looks very fishy to 5 or 6 months of no nego's then all of a sudden the company rejects the unions offer within 30 minutes and files for NMB mediation that very evening. This was planned out gentlemen and your union allowed it to play out. Shame on them for letting happen without nego's for 1/2 a year, Pathetic representation.

Reading the comparison update on the ORD site: http://teamstersord.com/  It appears that the current offer didn't really cost the company anymore overall. The offer contained too many concessions (aircraft moves etc) to achieve the extra pay.  I'm glad the IBT turned it down!

Agreed,

I'm glad they turned it down too, that being said my concern remains.

The ibt claimed they were trying to finalize an agreement. That implies they were close to a tentative already.  It makes one wonder just how much of the companys crap proposal they had already agreed to.
