No, The TWU will never be history... a lot of the workers will be. At that point, they won't care.

Strake, I gather you work in OH? I'm just guessing, please correct me if I am wrong..............
But, sadly, many of the job cuts will be from OH...Do you agree?

Whether many OH folks take the early out, get furloughed, bump..whatever...the reality is that OH will no longer have the majority.
When this is played out, whatever the result, we will look to ANY other union as to rid ourselves of the TWU. The jobs saved will be temporary. If they are longer term, I'll bet soup to nuts that more and more will be downgraded to OSM.

We are sick and tired of the TWU dictatorship. Little, Gless and company getting executive pay sans the education. Are you not outraged at their salaries?
Little's secretary earning more than double what you make?

AND WE DON'T HAVE A SAY IN THEIR APPOINTMENTS?

And in the event the TWU manages to stay on the property, it will be the OH local leadership that are going to take back seat to the line presidents.

and so am I.

If you are affected by RIF, I trully feel for you and others. If you are gone by choice, good for you.
I, like many others in this field have been laid off, sometimes more than once in our careers.
But in those days, the layoffs happened and eventually you returned to that same job with better pay and benefits....
Now it's not the case anymore....

TWU have to go, no doubt about it. We need our own union where our leaders make the same as us, so they stay with their feet on the ground.
