Two Jets Hit In Lga

178's tailcone and APU exhaust duct are ka-put. Both are currently removed from the aircraft in CLT.

Interesting, US Airways mechanics did pushbacks where staffed, not the ramp, and Piedmont maintenance only pushed in a few places.
 
Was it contract help that blew the slide on a/c 746 or have they not been able to find fendors that will sign on with this company?

i was nonreving on the flt to go to work that morning . had to go through bos to get to work. was not a good day

Ramp did the pushbacks in CLT until Aug 1989, then it was taken over by Maintenance
 
And how many planes did you guys break durring Push Back? Because if you listen to certain Utility Employees, you dont know what you are doing. Funny how in CLT and everywhere Else with PI, the Cleaning of the cabin was contracted out and the planes looked good inside. And again Fleet, U's Mirror Image knew what was best for the Company. NOT !

Apparently you never took a good look at PI's planes, they were filthy inside and the carpets were sticky as they dragged the trash down the aisle.

And I flew out of your station last month, if the ramp cleans the RONs you should be ashamed, the plane was dirty, fingerprints on the overheads, trash in the seatpocket, missing barf bags and this was all in F/C.

And to johnnyfleet, I said US Airways where they had mtc pushed, and mechanics for PI pushed in DCA and LGA.
 
700 you are right, the AIRPLANES are BAD. If U Management ever PAID the BILLS, it would be a good thing. In our Station, WE CAN NOT GET CLEANING SUPPLIES. They are ordered but nothing has come in for over a month. As of last week, we finally got in some garbage bags. So anything you want to send us would be great. PM me and I will be glad to tell you what we need, but to sum it up, we NEED EVERYTHING.

I don't know if it's your station or not, and it doesn't really matter....

A couple of trips ago we got to RSW for the turn back to the hub - full in and booked full out. We only had 2 of the trash bags left - the ones the F/A go up and down the aisle with to collect trash inflight. Called ops and guess what - they were out. Luckly, another flight came in while we were there so we were able to "borrow" some.

As if that wasn't enough, the trash bins in both galleys were full and it was a BOB (or what I call "meals on wheels") flight back - no where to put the trash once collected. You guessed it - the station had no bags for the galley bins either. So, necessity being the mother of invention (again), I walked down to AirTran's ops and begged 2 bags off them.

Then there's the early morning departure from EWR about a month ago - no creamers for the coffee. Ops didn't have any and couldn't get any, so off I go begging. Starbucks didn't have individual portions (can you tell I don't pay $5 for a cup of coffee?) but offered to give me a cup full. I graciously declined - wondering how we'd (meaning the F/A's) a - keep from spilling it, b - serve the whole cabin from 1 cup, and c - keep from looking tacky and cheap in the process. Thankfully, the snack bar had individual packages and even refused payment for the 25 they gave us.

Jim, I work in EWR. No Cleaning Supplies to Clean Aircraft over night. No Catering Supplies except for Ice. Thats it. Creamers, what are they. Nice to tell our FLL non-stop we have nothing. No Milk, No Cream, No 1st Class Basket Items, NOTHING. But yet we PAY Worldwide to move TWO RON aircraft off the gate at night and then back to gate in the morning while we have TRAINED and Qualified people to do it. And After the Aircraft gets pulled to the Gate, IT REQUIRES A FULL SECURITY CHECK, AGAIN. Talk about wasting Money, I can tell you where you can save over a QUARTER of a MILLION a year. But no one including Mr Lakefield ( several emails have been sent to him, NO REPLY) cares to save a dollar. Any idea how many Creamers a Quarter of a Million can buy?

You can call Tony Parente, Manager of A/C Apperance in PIT, he is the person you need to contact.

Or you can call CLT or PIT Stores and ask for a foreman or you can have your Manager Call Paladini and find out why you don't have supplies.

Did that, done that. Still No Supplies. And the Garbage bags, Pit said they would send 5 boxes, Got * 1 * three days later. Called them to double check and they claimed thats all they had. And Latex Gloves...... Maybe someday we might see them. Blue juice for the Lav truck...... Thank You AA. I could go on. NO ONE CARES from the TOP down. Seems the only thing they can say is Back Order.
