Well no more mechanics pushing back, LGA was one station where mechanics use to pushback.

Wonder how much that will cost now?

I doubt new hires, but probably new to pushbacks.

Probably less than the two 330s that mechanics pushed into each other in PHL.

You know that is totally uncalled for.

I guess you are just another pilot who hates mechanics, don't understand why, they are the ones who keep your plane safe.

And you are the same pilot who flew A/C 704 with no Girt Bar Latches and a broken slide on a ferry flight from MAE to CLT.

Maybe it was as much as the pilot that smacked the tail on A321 167US in PHL and they he lied to cover it up.

The aft lower tail section had to be replaced. Plane was out of service for over a month.

One 330 only had to have the tail cone replaced, the other was out of service for some tail repairs.

Typical 700 fashion. It's okay for you to insinuate yet the same rules don't apply to others. Pushing back an aircraft is not rocket science and it certainly doesn't require a mechanics license to accomplish.

And even less than the cost of a double engine change on a 37 due to FOD caused by a bit of a long landing and trying to turn in the dirt such as the incident that happened at PIT a number of years ago  Passengers were impressed with the dirt&debris that flys around during full reverse in the dirt!!!! :p

Now...back to the original thread. After reading the initial article I am impressed with the author, I never realized 2 U 321's would hold "several hundred" passengers!! Maybe if they made 4 trips!!! More well read reporter's!!!!

26 in F/C 143 in coach.

If both flights were full it would be 338 passengers.

I don't hate mechanics. I am one...fully licensed, which is more than I can say for you. I have the utmost respect for them. Now, stock clerks I have a problem with. I only know one and that's YOU. So you can see my disdain for the species.
You insinuate that the problem in LGA was caused by the lack of mechanics doing the pushbacks which is at best HOGWASH. Then I point out to you that accidents happen to everyone. Then you get personal.

You reap what you sow pal.
