The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and American Airlines corporate security now say vehicle damage at the maintenance facility may have been done on purpose.

The sheriff’s office and corporate security are working together on the investigation and released a statement on Wednesday saying investigators have determined the vehicle damage may have been caused by a malicious and intentional act.

The investigation is ongoing and the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a full criminal investigation of this situation. Currently the Sheriff’s Office is working with American Airlines Corporate Security to develop leads into possible suspect or suspects that may be responsible for this vandalism.

Latest number of vehicles damged is over 170 ?
I'm on mids and haven't had any damge. Security has stepped it up and now make us stop @ the gate. They also park with their overheads on near the exits @ quitting time. Why haven't they found debri or ammo yet ? Is it that difficult to examine the hundreds of cameras to find evidence of vandalism ? Wonder if they even researched them mowing that day.... this might take as long as contract talks.

We heard 3 rumors,

1) unlimted OSM's in TULE to save OH.

2) TULE wanting every mech to take $3 an hour paycut to save TULE

3) seperate contract for OH and line to save OH

1. Never
2. Not a chance
3. Possible
4. I'm probably/most likely getting layed off. I'm voting no on everything though. But if anyone would vote yes on that B.S. they would be a fool

That is overkill and not required to save OH.
This is the rumor or idea of someone that is a fool

These items would not save Overhaul, it would destroy it at the hands of disgruntled employees.

You must take care of your current employees and transition to MRO pay/benefits/work rules

The approach in the rumor would equate to destruction.

Unlimited OSM's, who would sign the logbook? If they were going to take a position to save OH, why would the company close AFW?

Taking a $3.00 an hour paycut would place the under AAR's $28.00 per hour, with only difference being the license premiums. Right now the company is paying $27.20 plus premiums. Do the math. An OSM top rate is $22.00 per hour.

Or is the rumor for $3, just something the line believes the should have?

Separate contracts, not as long as the TWU is the representative. Unless the largest local votes to cut their own throats, to keep jobs over pay

For crying out loud whats the fricking problem. OH gets paid the OH rate and Line gets paid the Line rate. All this BS to save Tulsa has nothing to do with Saving Tulsa. It should say we all should take a 3$ an hour pay cut to save the TWU. Without Tulsa the TWU is complete history. With Tulsa gone the TWU will be gone so fast they wont know what happened. And they know it.

And how is this division going to occur with the TWU in the drivers seat?

When AA starts outsourcing and downsizing TUL, the line stations will finally have the majority. How long before a new union drive will start? I'm in favor of whoever negotiated the SWA and UAL contract, I believe that union is the IBT, even though AMFA represents SWA now. 25 years with the TWU can all be summed up to "if you don't like it, move to Tulsa". If I were the TWU I would be trying to figure out how I'm going to get $40 an hour for my line mechs.
I think you have received erroneous info on the ibt. I can tell you first hand, the ibt and the twu are one in the same. You might as well stay with the twu and save yourself the troubles of a card drive.
Appointed officials, back door deals with the company, leaders don't even know what an A&P is. Just my little bit of input.

Maybe it's time all the line station union presidents break away and begin some talks with the company to protect THEIR membership. Tulsa and the TWU would throw all of us under the bus in a second to keep the status quo in OH. It's getting asinine. In order to be profitable we need to do what they do. Keeping OH at line rates will take this company down even further. Why can't the company see that. Of course they probably do but having such a marriage with the TWU it would be like throwing your wife out of bed.

How do you break the line away from OH?

I'm not sure how you would do it from the aspect of a union decision to separate OH and Line from working under the same contract. That way both work groups could argue their own wages and work rules compared to the industry. You can't justify being in OH and fighting for a contract that is entirely based on what other carriers and paying their line mechanics except for " Hey, pay me more money just because I want more money" which is what has been going on in OH forever. But a separation of work groups the union would loose all of line in a heart beat. The TWU is going to continue to fight for the high wages in OH and Low wages in line for no other reason than to keep the power and control. I truly hope their days are numbered.
