TSA New Directive (CREWS)

When are the various crewmember unions going to sit down together and say "ENOUGH ALREADY!" to the TSA.

They should just make it an across the board policy that no further restrictions can be placed on crewmembers without the "Council of Crewmember Unions" prior approval. Any attempt at enforcement would result in a suspension of service at that airport and DCA for a week by all union crewmembers.

Inside of 4 hours after a public announcement to this effect this nonsense would stop forever.

How did he/she get identified? and why would that affect any other crewmember? Sounds like a personal problem, to me.
SOMEONE knew what was going on -- Rarely do crooks keep their exploits to themselves -- otherwise, how did anyone know enough to arrest her when she arrived? Someone had to know before she got on that airplane!

Even if they never get on an airplane, airline/airport workers can bring guns to work?
Oh, yeah. Now I feel really safe.

I guess Postal Workers do! US can carry mail! :up:

ok, I got this clarified by our Director of Safety & Security

::::: drum roll :::::

This policy applies ONLY to crew members who use other means to bypass security to get access the SIDA. for instance, at ORD, you can take the employee bus from the parking lot directly to the ramp (or you used to), then FA's & Pilots would go right into the crew room below gates B18/B20 then straight upstairs for their flight.

The TSA is basicly requiring anyone flying to go thru security now.

So if you go thru it once, you are ok. But if you are badged at your airport and you bypass security, you must go thru screening at the start of your trip as an employee.
