There is no way I would ever allow my employees to spend the kind of time you do on any form of social media without consequences...unless that was part of their job...

Is it?  I seem to recall not that long ago that US Airways employees took concessions something like 3 times.  Was I dreaming?   
 
But it doesn't matter if everything was negotiable on a whim....ever since the God Reagan was in office, we shifted to an unhealthy focus on stocks.  THAT is how people got rich.  And today "investors" (I much prefer the word "traders" as few are investing in anything" demand year over year profits..  We can negotiate the hell out of labor rates, but we will reach a point where it's STILL cheaper to send jobs somewhere else in order to bump up the year over year profits.  
 
Here's a prediction for you....this time next year, American Airlines will be scrutinized by "investors" and punished by Wall Street.  They announced record profits this year.  According to the CEO, the "hit one out of the park" with profits.  That's actually a bad thing.  Because this time next year, if AA shows a profit....but that profit is LESS than what they had this year - there will be a mad scramble to do SOMETHING to get them up.  Labor cuts, a merger with something....anything to get those up.  Otherwise, they will be punished by the stock market and be painted as "troubled".
