That depends on who you ask. The cities are adamant Trump should pay up. But in many of these cases, there are no signed contracts between the municipal governments and the Trump campaign. The cities dispatched police officers to secure Trump’s events because they believe public safety required it — and the U.S. Secret Service asked for it.
Fast food sales and other businesses were off the roof those days, including local tax revenues.

I don't believe his properties in Mar a Lago and Bedminster are publicly traded, so yes, it goes to his and his families pockets. The Secret Service was charged $1185 per room per night for stays there. The Secret Service spent over half a million dollars in golf cart rentals alone at his properties. They don't give awy the rooms. They aren't comped meals. Now...when Obama took one of his annual golf trips to Hawaii, they paid for golf carts, meals and lodging, but none of that money went to Obama. Bush spent a lot of time in Crawford, but the Secret Service lodging didn't go to Bush. So yeah, he give away $400k per year in salary. And he takes more than twice that amount in taxpayer money.

A privately owned corporation owned by the Trump family. And Donnie has access to the money. Again...it's a helluva deal if I can give up $400K to look good and then charge the government a million dollars so I can spend some nice times on my golf courses.
Trump used to whine about how much golf Obama played and pointed to his annual vacation to Hawaii. I don't even include the costs of Air Force One or the salaries of the SS...just what the government is being charged for their room and meals as well as that half million a year on golf cart rentals. Obama golfed on military bases, and when he was in Hawaii at a resort, his family made zero profit off that. Helluva deal if you can swing it. Again...it's nice he "gave up" his salary, but he more than makes it up from visits to his properties.
