They even appropriated 50 billion for the wall. Where did that money go? It sure wasn’t for a wall. No, they just saw away scam the American tax payer to line their pockets. This wall is not Trumps new idea. It’s been on American voters minds for decades. On your second point it’s always better to simply walk away than preatend a really bad deal was a great victory. Once again, kinda like that wonderful NFTA deal that was made that cost American Voters hundreds of thousands of jobs.

WE don't have any way to pay for a military that is already larger than the next 8 countries combined, yet we still manage to do it. Here's an example...Congress has a budget. It is almost a trillion dollars for this year alone. We don't have the money to pay for a lot of things in it. Trump wants $5 billion for a 250 mile stretch of wall that is over and above the money in the bill (that we don't have the money to pay for). He shut the government down over it. We didn't have the money....yet you support the wall. Please help me understand.

FWIW...Trump inherited a debt of $20 trillion. In 2 years, it's increased to $22 trillion. Please don't come talking to be about things we can't afford when you haven't uttered a single word about a 10% increase in debt in just 2 years.

Try this for fun....get on I-10 in Houston. Drive to 50 miles west of San Antonio. This represents Trumps wall, that will "pay for itself almost on a monthly basis". Now get in a car and drive from Houston to Tuscon Arizona. THAT is the length of border that will still remain without a wall in sight. Nowhere. Here's a visual. Hope this makes you feel safer:
