I think every U employee should look over these articles as I did, brings tears to your eye if you have a heart. That heart was missing when this all went down by the U executives only worried about lawsuits. Don’t think the public has a short term memory and looks upon U possible demise with tears in their eyes. USE-LESS AIR I heard then and now. Granted we have a new management team since then, but the same old worn out bald tires in middle management are still spinning away along with tons of jobs going away.

I recall that evening very well, and find it hard to think that 10 years have gone by already. I still have a Newspaper that detailed the lives of all the Crew O/B the flight that sad day. As many times as I have flown in my life, it took me a long time to feel comfortable again.

Sad thing is when US Airways goes out of business how often are people in the Pittsburgh area going to be subjected to "US Airways Grounded 10 Years Later...?" "Duel Tragedy: Death of US Airways & 427." Rememberance is always nice but I think after this 10th anniversary of 427 it's time to not re-hash so much. We all went through it. Afterall, much was learned and accomplished from this horrible tragedy so those 133 people didn't die in vain. If you want to keep angry just look at what happened in Russia a few days ago. That to me is beyond human explaination.

Thank you for posting the article and remembering the time Cav. I remember the time will always have the customers and crew members in my prayers.

Do you think once in a while you could post something without sounding so irate and negative? You used to post informative opinions and keen insight about your role as an employee. Now you just sound like the others on here with the same doom and gloom and hate. Just my opinion.

I am afraid you are reading me wrong my friend as I am no longer an U employee. There is nothing to hate or reason to be filled with malice and in fact: It feels like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I sleep better because I am now on a sane shift instead of night shift suffering from heart palpitations and acid indigestion and going thru the days feeling drugged from lack of sleep.

Doom and gloom are part of life at U and if you can shine some bright spots on this mess then by all mean be my guest. All I was doing was relaying articles which I didn't write but did read. I learned a few things like how the passengers families were treated, something like the way U employees are currently being treated, terrible.

Unfortunately anything associated with U is now not just perceived as doom and gloom, but is in fact doom and gloom, therefore keeping it light minus the doom and gloom would require that we all transfer over to the LUV boards where there is some sunshine instead of the mushroom factory that dwells over U.

Good Luck to You and All U Employees! Some of the best people I ever met are at U!

Well then, I totally read you wrong and all I can say to you is good luck and congratulations. I bet you do feel like there is a weight lifted of your shoulders.

I can not give you any examples of something this company does to make a day at work or the future look brighter for me, but I am the type of person that always has a positive outlook on things and tries to make my co-workers feel good about the day. I am commonly accused of intentionaly trying to change the negative subjects to positive ones when conversation starts to trend towards the same doom and gloom. Sometimes it is intentionaly, but most of the time it is just the way I am.

Good luck to you.
