Again, have you read the language and what is about to happen to your overhaul base?

Are you happy with the direction this profession in going?
Are you happy with the direction of the Tulsa Maintenance Base?

They are having AMT Day in Tulsa tomorrow. We get a free lunch because they appreciate us so much........... They don't appreciate us enough to give us Memorial Day off with pay, but enough to give us (and every other employee in Tulsa no matter what job) a piece of chicken and a bottle of water and a bag of chips. Who needs a raise, or paid sick time, or holidays off or vacation when you get really great benefits like this?

For Tulsa it is not terrible, but if you consider that we make less now than 9 years ago and have higher medical costs and our take home gets less and less every year, so it gets worse all the time. Now consider those who live in other higher cost areas like NY or Chigago or L.A. and the wage is terrible and getting worse all the time. Many of us (me included) have second jobs to make ends meet and try to put our kids through college. There are only 24 hours in each day so how many jobs are the guys in NY,Chi and LA able to work? Yes, the wage for them is terrible.

Oldguy... I completely agree with you on the lines.... They need a line premium... I have always felt that way for those in ORD, NY, LAX etc.. I would like all my vc, sk, id , and holidays... I am really tired of that!!

There was no such promise made and you are putting words in someone's mouth. You remind so much of other TWU sympathizers that have come and gone, er I meant changed user names.

Anyone making promises like that is not speaking for AMFA or the truth.
Some people struggle with sticking to the facts, but we are all human.

One thing you will get is a Craft Union dedicated to the profession of the Aircraft Maintenance, and Union based on Democratic Principles, and not affilitated with the AFL-CIO. The idea is to get all mechanics into one union and negotiate experience recognition clauses into the labor agreements.

Go read the scope clause the TWU is about to bring you and let's talk more about unemployment.

Let me try again to get some answers from you so we can "debate the issues" as you stated.

Wow! That's a bunch. We've got Title II people already leaving for greener pastures too. One plumber I work with will work his last day here Friday. He only has a little over a year with AA and knows he's a goner here no matter which way things go. He told me the new job offers him more pay, better medical and more vacation time than he has now.

No one is saying that by signing a card you will get it all back. We are just saying that if you don't sign a card you will NEVER get it all back. TWU will never even try to get anything back for you.
