From another web page:

I just got word that US767 is not the final flight for the B762. A 75 in Philly just went Tech and they've called on ol' 252 to come to the rescue and operate US717 PHL-CLT. I imagine not too many people are happy right about now that just got off that.

I love it!

Some of that crew on Flt 767 probably jumped through hoops to get assigned to the last US revenue flight of the 767.

And now, some unsuspecting crew that thought they would be on a 757 got to make the history (but didn't get any cake for it.)

Well, as they say: "The show must go on!"

The Captain is a great guy and an awesome instructor!  Glad he got to fly the "final" trip.

Well it seems it still wants to fly.

The 767, 757 and 727s were my favorites.

He thought he got to fly the final trip.  Looks like the broken 757 today allowed the not-quite-so-retired aircraft 252 to keep flying passengers.

After all the pictures were taken and the cakes eaten, that 767 is still out there working.

Congrats to the crew that REALLY gets to fly the last revenue flight on the last US 767, whenever that actually happens.

There are four retired birds at BFM, seems 252 doesnt want to join her sisters.

That's why "final" was in quotation marks.  Glad to see it's still useful!  It was a great airplane and I'm thankful for the very short time I got to fly it!

As my user name is N617P I have a great memory of all our 767-200's I flew our first flight to Hawaii on the 180 proving run. I have more memories of these aircraft than any other in my 30+ years in aviation.
I will miss them. I was a young A&P full of optimism and a thirst for knowledge. This airplane taught me more than I thought I could learn. It was cutting edge at the time! The 787 of its day.

My best memory was going to SFO on a road trip to R&R a MEC. We arrived and it was just about done. We helped do the power run then ferried it to LAX. I rode the jump seat back and as we climbed out of fl10 the Captain moved his seat back and asked if I wanted to fly it! What a rush!! That was 25 years ago and it seems like only yesterday!

So management pilots don't fly those ferry flights to retirement like they do with new deliveries?
