Yeah Don were all in league together its one Giant conspiracy, not individuals with Individual opinions, we all know that Individuals with Individual opinions doesn't exist in the world ..... Well in the eyes of people who really like Unions & think we should all think collectively.
One more reason why Unionism really get's on my nerves sometimes.

Almost like you pigeon hole the entire maintenance base into Teamsters supporters. When the AMFA card count shows otherwise.

I have no doubt that some people are signing AMFA cards, never said there weren't any AMFA supporters in Tulsa, I said that AMFA isn't as popular in Tulsa as the Teamsters, You know that as well as I do, i'm not going to continue to debate you about that issue, we have been over & over this, trust me if AMFA was as popular as the Teamsters are in Tulsa & the cards were as easy to get I would be collecting them instead of Teamster cards but i'm tired of talking people into signing cards it's nice to be able to just pass them out & collect them without having to say anything.
As I said you don't have to agree with my opinions we can agree to disagree, that's what being an Individual is all about, having your own opinions & not thinking like a collective, i'm not interested in being assimilated & becoming a borg.

Sorry Dan but that was really a shot at ANOMALY He/she has been missing since the 4th and you have been here alone as a pro teamsters poster I know he and the rest of the Teamster/TWU leadership were basking in the sun drinking one on our dime.

No problem, wheres all the TWU supporters I remember during the 2003 AMFA drive there were quite a few TWU supporters on this Forum but haven't seen one yet, actually it's kind of hard to find TWU supporters at the Base, I have heard there are some in the OSM shops because they think that TWU can actually save their jobs .... what a pipe dream that is, we all know that new planes don't need Heavy C Maintenance for at least 5 years & I heard they are trying to extend that to 6 years so there are going to be Layoffs & there is nothing anyone can do about it, AA is not going to keep Employee's sitting around doing nothing, If the TWU wouldn't be so worried about Abrogation thinking it will be the end of the world & not bring back a TA that isn't a lot closer to what the other two Airlines have that might have a few more supporters, it's getting harder & harder to walk through that turnstile everyday.

Hard to believe i'm the only Teamster supporter on here though that surprises me with what is going on in Tulsa.

You have to ask your teamster bosses to give you another angle. This one about how everyone in TUL loves the teamsters is getting old, LOL.

When they were trying to sell us on their failing pension plans, that was one of their mantras, it's only you guys that do not want it, the rest of the system loves it.

Only to make some phone calls to find out that the other stations are fighting it and the teamsters are saying that my station loves it, LOL. Your shpiel is teamster bullshit 101, tell them you need their advanced bullshit, this one is not working....

So you don't think people are capable of thinking Independently ? Of having their own Opinions & views ? Is someone telling you what to think & say ?? If you answered yes to "ANY" those questions then you have been a Union Man waaaaay to long, I'm a Man in a Union not a Union Man there is a huge difference, one of them is that I don't believe in collective thinking, I believe everyone should be an Individual & do what they think is in their best Interest.
As for the failing Pension plans I agree they are failing & I really don't care their guaranteed by the PBGC so if they fail good old uncle sam will bail them out, also their are ways to save failing Pension plans so it hasn't failed until it has, I for one would be for being in their Pension plan just like I am for being in AA Pension plan, I'm a huge fan of Pension plans over 401k & always will be, gotta love a fund that keep filling up no matter how long you live, Living a long time is prevalent in my family.

That is just it!!!! You do NOT sound like you are thinking independently, you are quoting the same bull I have heard from the teamsters for many years now. That is why I say you need a different angle.

As far as the pension, do you know the only beneficiary for your defined benefit is your wife!! what happens if you both god forbid die in an auto accident, your kids are left with NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The COMPANY keeps it all.

With a defined contribution, your KIDS get your MONEY because it's in YOUR ACCOUNT and you can place anybody you want as a beneficiary.

Gotta love CHOICES and control of you own MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems like you don't. Why would you want ANYBODY controlling your money besides YOU?????? I will never understand people with your train of thought........

Whoop I have no Idea how the Teamster Paid Organizers think nor do I care, there is only one in this drive & his name is chris Moore & I've only met him once to pick up cards, we didn't have time to chat because It was on my 30 minute lunch break, If you think I sound like someone else then I don't know what to tell you, I believe your opinion are your own & not someone else's trust me my opinions are my own as well, I haven't been talking to any Teamsters nor do I plan to or need too.
I like Pensions because they fill up every year, I can understand you wanting your kids to get your money that would be nice but you can have a Pension & be in a 401k both.

I'm glad you said the ibt drive in TUL is doing so good is your "OPINION". As for the pension, you are fine with your kids ONLY getting half (401K) of your money, and the company/ibt ( same in my eyes) keeping the other HALF of YOUR money. If that's the case, which sounds like it is. That's cool, as for me, I want ALL my money to go to MY kids. The company/ibt have done nothing for me to forfeit half of my retirement to them.

Teamsters are not interested in providing you with superior representation.
And they are not interested in building a Mechanics Only Union.

They are interested in your hard earned money to help bailout their underfunded pension problems though.

Just ask one of your Tulsa based Teamster supporting stooges about this.

I agree Dave that's why the Teamster drive is real they need more money to help save their Pensions & that money will come from New Members, Money is a very powerful motivator, more powerful than friendship so the afl-cio no raid claus had to go so that the Teamsters could get more Members & more money for their cause, Organizations & Individuals all have Agenda's for what they do, If they get new money to help shore up their Pensions then they will be in good shape again, I for one like the Idea of accruing another Pension as I stated not a double payout Pension just a regular payout Pension would be fine.

At least in this post it appears that your admitting the drive is real.

Of course, you do know the ibt promised the same thing at UAL?

I don't know their still at UAL, UAL has a history of swapping Unions so I'm assuming if they don't like the Teamsters they will switch again, their not presently in a card drive.
