Summer Timetable...new Services

MAH4546,
Have you heard the rumor about Dusseldorf and Frankfurt out of JFK next year? I flew threw MIA Friday and the agents were talking about it.

2x daily O'Hare-Colorado Springs service starts same day, CR7.

Aside from the fact that the great majority of the new flying appears to be AE--benefitting AMR, but not AA...(I'm partial don't you know. )

ORD-NAS? In an RJ? It's listed at 3:20! It's 6 minutes shorter than XNA-LAX in an RJ, but then I wouldn't fly that either.

Depends on what you call new flying. All but one or two of the new markets involve a single frequency per day, and to existing stations, so that there's no increase in ground staffing.

AA's new flying has mainly been increased frequencies in existing markets, or new international routes, i.e. BOS-SNN, ORD-DUB, ORD-NGO.

Hadn't heard about JFK-FRA or JFK-DUS. If AA were to continue adding narrowbodies to Europe, both DUS and FRA appear to be within the range of the 75ER.

What's striking to me about all the adds is that only one of them involved American Connection, as opposed to American Eagle. Two years ago, Eagle didn't exist in STL. By May, they're up to 11 trips a day (BOS/RDU/JFK).

I understand that AE will start service to Mobile, June 10. Two flights per day as of now. 44 seat RJ's. DFW to MOB flights 3821/3425 - MOB to DFW, flights 3424/3820.

Yup, two daily ERJ-140s.

Also, daily ERJ-140 CLE-JFK flight starts 9 June.

Did Fred Buttrell segue from Comair over to AA Eagle? From the stacks of tree-killing press releases Eagle issued today, it harkens back to the days of "...said Fred Buttrell, President, Delta Connection."

Not trying to start any rumors, you understand.

Mainline growth, sort of.

Boston-New Orleans and Miami-Montevideo will no longer be seasonal when they resume for the winter 2005 timetable, they will operate year-round.

Also, I've been hearing we will see Miami-Asuncion soon, operating TuThSa.

nice to see MAN do the same. (year round)

AFAIK, MAN is still supposed to be seasonal, though I've been hearing that a fifth Miami-Europe route will be announced next month (Brussels, probably) that will be year-round. MAN is in reservation systems as infinite, though, but it is scheduled run through the end of April.

After a slow start and some not so great yields, the MIA-MAN route was really able to hold its own. It has performed well.

That would be wonderful news. I couldn't find anything in RES to substantiate this. Still, I hope it is true. The May bidsheet for IMA is, by any standard, the worst we have seen. We lost MAN, MVD, and GIG all at once, and the Europe lines are broken up with turns, available days, and two-days added into them. In other words, nothing is pure. Any new routes would be most welcome.

MIA - MAN is a pleasure to work too. The pax on that flight are so nice and the layover can be alot of fun as well.

Altough CMH-RDU gets the axe in Jun. Frequencies to other cities are added.

CMH-MIA 1 daily
CMH-LGA 1 daily for 7 per day
CMH-STL 1 daily for 4 per day
