Just some free, friendly advice. Never, under any circumstances, discuss pending litigation on an internet bulletin board (no matter to whom you are (or think you are) writing) until you have either won or lost.

Attorneys (for either side) have a knack for making people look foolish when they shove your own written words under your nose while you are on the witness stand (like I have done).

Good luck.

This is my first time to post a topic on this bb.

I am part of the group of F/A''s bringing charges against APFA for disenfranchising our vote on April 15 and violating our Constitution over and over.

SueAPFA has agreed to be represented by New York attorneys David J. Seidemann, Sandra E. Langs, Steven M. Nachman and Kathy Coward. These law firms will pool their resources and talent to prosecute our claims against APFA and eventually AMR. They have taken this case on a contingency.

To support SueAPFA (we do have some expenses), make checks to:

SueAPFA

Suite 1820

Irvine, CA 92612

We are grateful for all of the help and support we have recieved. Thanks everyone.

We will be announcing our filing date soon. I will be happy to talk about our charges, etc., but I will not discuss any aspect of our case with anyone connected with the union. That will have to wait till we get to court.

I want to thank fellow F/A & attorney, TJ Norris for getting us to this point. She has never wavered in her desire to see justice done.

If you don't need support why is it being asked for at the beginning of this thread? Sounds like you don't have enough support already otherwise you wouldn't be begging for support on a forum outside of work. You guys are a joke.

Will this group take a check from some AA Mechanics interested in fair and equitable union matters?

Let me guess these fools are suing the union and the boobs who rigged the vote. Monetary damages will be paid by who? All of us, and expect our dues to go up. Sherry cooper must be ROFLHAO.

Considering APFA's performance over the last 8 months, it should come as no shock that they are being sued. It should have been expected. I would hope that amongst other things, APFA becomes more representative to those who pay the union dues. I do know that there are at least two honest and respectable base chairs, Sherry C. and John N. Having watched and listened to both testify in court, it would appear to me that each of them despite taking different sides on some issues, would serve the members they represent in a first class way. May the force be with you...

Well said L1011 alot of people were let down by this "so called" APFA union and no they were not just TWA...All flight attendants were obligated to pay dues to the APFA, or not have a job. We did, and for what? I would only expect more law suits to follow. I do agree that a union is needed, but not one who only represents a select few of its members....Let Justice Prevail!

RV4 absolutely. We are about overturning the illegal vote of April 16, 2003. Our vote was stolen and our constitution violated. Because our vote was tied to the other two unions, what happens will affect the other unions.

This is a novel thought, but we believe we deserve to have negotiations done in "good faith." As we all know, this never happened.

And for Mikey, you need to check out what we are about before you make your charges. We are about suing for our rights. My vote was disenfranchised. To me, that means something; maybe it doesn't mean something to you. Also, we have been collecting "petitions to remove" officials for some time and we have a couple of people who are actively recruiting people to run for office. I don't get it...what more would you have us do?

There is a difference between APFA and its so called leadership. I believe the leadership to be completely untrustworthy. But to sue and try to destroy the organization its self its Misguided and extremely foolish.

If these people were legit they would seek to remove the current leadership. Organize from within and enact change. They should be willing to come forward and be willing to do leadership jobs. This group is clearly not interested in making change. They want to sue. Hey McDonalds made me fat, Tabacco made me sick and APFA screwed me. What am I willing to do? Nothing! I want someone to come in and get me money and solve nothing. After all its the American way.
