Where the was the air support and supporting ships for the USS Stark back in 1987. A ship I might add with limited AAA capability left to fend for itself in the middle of what was essentially a war zone. Care to answer that question? What's the difference between these two incidents other than lives lost and who the president was?

I'm going to guess that they realized that they were someplace they should not have been and had no wish to die in a blaze of glory. Now I'm sure if you were there you would have opened up so you could have a martyrs death.
