Statement By Us Airways Alpa

There is no money left for the employees to give back. This is it, it's in managements hands to drive cost from the system via operational effiencies.

They come back for more and I'm on the full pay to the last day side. The whining and crying needs to stop. The ball is in managements court.

You make me sick.. who are you to make that statement? Who do you think you freaking are? How do you know what the employees have left and how much they are ready to donate to this lost cause? The past and current management has never and most likely will never operate a business plan that has operational effiencies. Why should they? They know the employees are always good for another kick and giveback when it comes right down to it and in the meantime they keep their payoffs while they play musical managements chairs. What will be real interesting to watch if the industry (I intentionally said industry and not Usairways) does turns around and Usairways survives is how Usairways will dole out bonuses to management for a job well done while they reward the rest of employees with the skimpy profit sharing plans the employees felt good to vote in.

Who freaking cares what side you are on? You are an outsider and always will be a outsider. You thoughts mean nothing to the employees. Oh yeah you have the right to make them on here as you have fully made employees aware of in the past. But they also have the right to say screw you I will itch (scratch), moan and cry as I feel fit and don't tell me what I need to do. Again I say you and your like make me sick and I have the right to say and feel it though this board has the right to suppress it on here.

Keep a close eye on management from here on out. If they start going over the hill in masses it may be a sign that the fat lady is warming up.

Good luck.

Good *uck again

US Airways ALPA Boston First Officer Representative Garland Jones wrote today, Not so long ago, remember what was the hue and cry on this (pilot) Wailing Wall? Unwilling to deal with the hard reality of concessionary negotiations, it was "Just say No, and let the Judge decide."

Well, the IAM did just that, and the results are:

1. Originally, the ask from the respective labor groups was $800 million, including:

"US Airways was seeking $295 million in wage-and-benefit cuts from its pilots, $263 million from mechanics and baggage handlers, $122 million from customer service and reservation agents and $116 million from flight attendants."

2. Today, after letting the "Judge decide," the give from the IAM is $353 million annually, including a terminated Defined Benefit Pension Plan and the outsourcing of over 25% of their jobs, resulting in over 2000 layoffs.

And from the original total labor ask of $800 million, the company raised that ask to $1.1 billion. And who made up that difference? All the other labor groups, as the pilot's ask did not go up once we entered bankruptcy in that we had reached a TA shortly thereafter.

So be happy that on Sept. 22, all 12 MEC members asked the NC to bring us back a TA, and that on Oct. 1 they did so. For if we hadn't, we, too, would have had our contract abrogated by Judge Mitchell, and undoubtedly be facing a significantly higher ask as well.

USA320Pilot comments: MEC Chairman Bill Pollock wrote a letter to the pilot group on December 17 and said, "You should also know that during the time the Company was negotiating with the AFA, IAM, and CWA, the amount of cost savings that the company was demanding from each group increased during bankruptcy, as it did with ours."

Complete Story

USA320Pilot

It is outsourcing of 46% of the IAM Mechanic and Related Jobs and 15% of the Fleet Service.

1,938 mechanic and related are slated to be "outsourced".

I always know that I'm on the right side of an issue by the level of rage I provoke in you. You are my barometer and I thank you.

Hello I am on ignore remember? Shall I post a link? How about the lie you were leaving the board forever never to return? Shall I post a link? I provoked you to reveal you lied. I knew I could. Since you know me and know I am raging can you post some more so I just bust open at seams? How about your rage to the point of saying I got to your ignore list? Talk about barometer you were pegged out. You give yourself too much credit there Pineyscab. I just have a position and love to take stabs at the ones that open themselves up to it. Nothing more nothing less. You as well as 320 and 700 tend to make it so easy its like taking candy from baby and a big laugh too. For that I thank you.

700UW & Usairways_vote_NO:

Every labor group gave more than the original "ask" and those who said the "Concession Stand Is Closed" got hurt the worse. Those "naysayers" who said let the judge decide received tremendous "pain", which did not have to happen.

Now there is nothing that can be done about the past and the best thing that can be done is to make the best of the future.

Is this another 320 concludes? You start your post about the past as YOU see in you own mind happening then you conclude we can't look to past and just look to future. So is that conclude of yours the conclusion now? You allowed to look back but no one else can? You have the last say as everyone moves on to the bright future USAirways has laid before you? Nevermind where you came from to get where you are supposed to be going in your fantasy world.

First off, any fool that says they won't be back for more, is kidding themselves! The only way this junkie won't want another fix, is if someone puts them out of their misery!

Secondly, I read the statement from the pilots union as follows... Blah, Blah, Blah, we're the greatest, and most giving, Blah, Blah Blah!!!

By the way, not to say I told you so... However, I said WAY BACK WHEN, after the first round, that they would be back for more. Well, guess what, I'VE BEEN RIGHT TWICE NOW!!! KILLS YOU DON'T IT!

If you're REALLY that cynical, then find somewhere
else to work. You really don't need to stay around
if you are that suspicious.

"They come back for more and I'm on the full pay to the last day side"

Isn't that what you said last time?

You voted it in, now quit whinning and go to work!
