Star - MERGED THREADS

He has an anger management problem.

Man you been gone over a year and a half, let it go all ready. There is life beyond US Airways, you need to seek some help.

Your coworkers voted away the no furlough clause and you are one of 20,000 at this company to get laidoff and one of 100,000 in the industry, move on and get a life.

Star Alliance members must paint 3% of their fleet, therefore, about 8 aircraft will receive the new paint scheme.

Respectfully,

I got this from our training dept.

The painted fleet as of April was

1 - 767
2 - 757's
1 - 319
? undetermined number of EMB 170's delivered from Brazil in Star Livery.

No widebodies will be painted until 2005, too short of them to pull one out of service due to increase of european flying for the summer.

Planes have to be painted. Let's face it, people don't want to fly around in planes that resemble something out of Sanford & Son's junkyard. Yeah it sucks to be furloughed, but you can't wish the company to go to hell just because you aren't here.
Your airplanes are your biggest advertisement too :)

" A US Airways spokesperson said all STAR Logos on U aircraft would be magnetic stick ons, so they could be removed on May 10 if the company liquidated following a negative vote on LOA 91 by the pilot group. When asked about record high load factors at U, the spokesperson also said it was blip, that a computer error had simply deflected passengers who really were booking on Southwest and JetBlue to U airplanes."

That's funny - I guess they're not bolting from Star in favor of SkyTeam after all. Just another in a long string of failed predictions.

SkyTeam? Isnt that DL, NW, and CO? US joining in would've had four of the nations six majors in one alliance! Its already surprising they're allowing the three of them to have an alliance.
