HEY ADMINISTRATOR........
WHY WAS THIS MOVED FROM THE AMERICAN AIRLINES THREAD?????
OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A SUBJECT PERTAINING TO AA. WELL MAYBE NOT THEY DECIDED NOT TO SAY AT LOVE WITH ALL ITS RESTRICTIONS AND TO MOVE TO DFW. THEY ALSO CHOSE NOT TO DIVIDE DALLAS AND FORT WORTH AND BE FAIR ABOUT REVENUE SHAREING FROM AIRPORT PROFITS. AND GUESS WHAT AA KEPT THIER END OF THE DEAL WITH OUT CRYING THAT WE WANTED IT CHANGED LATER!!!!!!!!!! A DEAL IS A DEAL WHETHER YOU SIGNED ANYTHING OR NOT.........YOU KNEW WHAT YOUR RESTRICTIONS WERE WHEN YOU DECIDED TO STAY AT LUV. NOW SHUT UP AND DEAL WITH IT. OR LEAVE DALLAS..........NO ONE CARES!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE FIELD NEEDS TO BE CLOSED TO AIRLINES FOR TWO REASONS. NUMBER ONE .....THE TRAFFIC PATTERNS CONFLICTS WITH A REAL AIRPORT....DFW. ASK ANY REAL PILOT THAT HAS FLOWN MORE AIRLINERS THAN JUST THE 737.!!!!! NUMBER TWO .....IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE (GOD HELP US...I WISH THIS ON NO ONE!!!] AN AIRLINER ENDS UP SOMEWHERE IN DOWNTOWN DALLAS.
AGAIN I CALL FOR EVERYONE FROM TARRANT COUNTY INCLUDEING FORT WORTH TO BOYCOTT SOUTHWEST UNTILL THEY AGREE TO MOVE TO DFW OR KEEP THE TERMS THEY AGREED TOO!!!!!!! EVERYONE FROM DFW AIRPORT TO THE WEST SHOULD BE OUTRAGED!!!!!!!!!
SOUTHWEST WOULD ONLY BE HAPPY IF THEY GOT THERE WAY, HAD DALLAS AND FORT WORTH AGAINST EACHOTHER AS IN YEARS PAST AND WE TORE THE REUNION TOWER DOWN !!! BUT THEY SHOULD BE CAREFUL FOR WHAT THEY WISH FOR, I REALLY DONT THINK THEY WANT ALL THE COMPETITION AT LUV THAT THEY WILL GET IF THIER WISH IS GRANTED!!!!
REMEMBER WHEN THE FUEL HEDGES END THEY WILL TURN ON THE FAITHFUL EMPLOYEES JUST LIKE THEY DID ON EVERYONE ELSE... MARK MY WORD

My, is someone's undies in a twist! Take a deep breath, turn off the ALL CAPS and relax. BTW your carbon-copy post is still on the American Airlines board, so don't worry about that.

All the doom and gloom coming from the folks afraid of the Wright Amendment being repealed never ceases to amaze me. Rest assured, The Powers That Be at SWA are thinking at least 5 or 6 steps ahead of everyone and are well aware of the benefits and the risks posed by lifting the Wright restrictions. To all those who espouse the "Be careful what you wish for" rhetoric: SWA has never backed down from a challenge (remember how Braniff was going to destroy SWA with their $13 fare sale back in 1973? Or how "Shuttle By United" and "Continental Lite" were going to curtail SWA's growth on the west coast and the midwest?) and this will be no different.
 
I think repealing the Wright Amendment would be good, but it doesn't go far enough. SWA should be forced to divest itself of at least 51% of the remaining gate space at DAL to allow for new entrants until the city can build new gates and the city should offer incentives for new entrants just like SWA receives at other cities it serves.

Well, Southwest currently uses 14 gates of the 32 envisioned in the Master Plan and leases as office space the North Concourse which has sufficient space for 7 additional gates. CO and AA's leaseholds on the East Concourse account for 5 gates, and the former Legend terminal has six gates. Totaling it all up, Southwest controls 21 gates of 32 and seven of the 16 unused gates (AA is not using their gates and asked to be released from their lease in 2003). This leaves 9 gates available to new entrants, which is 56% of the remaining gate space.

I dont think so.........ya see Southwest has the lowest raitio of aircraft technicians to aircraft owned by that airline than almost anyone in the US. That is what scares me about them flying over downtown Dallas everyday. You boisterous southwest people remind me of the cocky Eastern employees of years past. But you probably dont remember that because you are wet behind the ears and you are blinded by all the promises of a regional airline, wanna be real airline. As I said in my original post ..........when the fuel hedges end the old family LUV fest will end and you cocky wanna be a real airline employees will be knocked off your high horses. This is not vendictive or wishful thinking, it is 30 plus years of experience in the real airline business talking. Sorry Ya'll the LUV FEST will be comeing to a surpriseing and abrupt ending. And then I will say welcome to the real airline world! You should have kept the agreement you made at love field and remained a regional airline!
Also being a real aircraft technician with a real airline I am experienced in at least 5 airliners at any given time. I would be boared working on only one aircraft!! The 737 only, for life!!! I dont think so!! I want a real challenge!!!
I bet you wanna be's know part numbers by heart and you dream of working on a wide body at night!
