An investigation revealed numerous instances where Southwest denied boarding to passengers but did not comply with provisions of the bumping rule.

I find it interesting that anything that sheds a negative light on WN, SKYHIGH posts a link and walks away. I seem to recall my elders telling me that was stirring the pot for no good reason. I don't begrude SKYHIGH for posting the link, but why only negative one's and mostly about WN.

I find it interesting that WN people ONLY POST positive stories about themselves. They've done that for many years now. So much so, that they have employees "monitor" these airline boards to do that. Why not post, REALITY, which includes negative issues? They'll "never" do that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm an AA employee who finds VERY little wrong with the way WN is managed and operated. You can not argue with success, or maybe that's your beef with them. They've made money consistently over the years when the rest of us were losing it like a gambling addict in Vegas.

My only complaint with WN is they did away with the STL-DAL flight that didn't leave STL until almost 2130. I would have to spend fewer nights in STL if they still had that flight.

(Why, yes. It is all about me. Why do you ask?)

Your opinion and what's newsworthy about this airline are two separate issues.

And, your opinion of what is newsworthy is also a separate issue. It's just that it was noted that it seems that the only items you ever consider newsworthy about WN are negative. I noticed that you didn't post earnings for WN for 4th quarter. You know the earnings report that said they had such a good 4th quarter that it pulled them into a profit for the entire year? Accusing WN employees of being biased is the post calling the kettle black.

What airline do you work for?

..........and by posting articles that are negative, keeps the board from being BIASED, now doesnt it.

This post means you've never read the Southwest Blog. Some of the discussions there get downright nasty, especially around scheduling issues.

Don't mistake my avatar for one of your "employee monitor" people, either, Chicken Little. Just a flight attendant who knows how to cut and paste B)

Does anybody find it ODD that Southwest seems to get so much attention form the Regulators lately??I've NEVER heard of Southwest even being brought into Question for their DB practices before.. So what's up NOW?? Popular opinion aside,
I think it's because Southwest has finally come under the "gun" of the BIG consumer watchdogs, It appears their Love affair with LUV might have faded a bit and now they're just another BIG BAD BUSINESS with their Foot on the neck of THE Little MAN ,The Proletariat. What a Hoot!! Heck, I work for Unted and I WANT to see Southwest Airplanes full.
I WANT to see them Wrestle with the same ol' BS we have to endure. They're the "common man's airline". And NOW the "Establishment" has come to find FAULT with them?? Isn't THAT too Rich?!? I KNEW it would happen sooner or Later. Well Guys Welcome to the Pain in the BUTT Club!! Pretty soon you'll see reps from the Northern Hemisphere "UH-OH Squad".. Every little thing you do?? There'll be some FOOL there talkin' bout "UH-OH!! Looka 'DAT" !!

........southwest monitors that site, now doesnt it? It's already got control over what is said there:

One final disclaimer—Nuts About Southwest is not the forum to address personal Customer Service issues. All of us have “day jobs,” and we simply don’t have the resources through Nuts About Southwest to resolve individual concerns. Even though this is not the forum, Southwest is eager to resolve your concerns.

We're all WNers!!

I know not so long ago some of the FAA regional inspectors were found to be too friendly with maintenance operations and since the discovery, the microscope has been placed over maintenance ops. Due to the nature of the friendly relationship....the FAA didn't catch SWA missing some required inspections. Classic example of how oversight doesn't work between best buddies. Government has a way of over or under reacting instead of measuring responses, and SWA maintenance ops is probably experiencing the overracting phase.
