I blame the Daves for what they have done to labor. Gangwal never would have done it this way. Never would he bring labor to the brink of poverty, take away benefits, destroy the morale and the quality of life of the employees, and violate all contracts along the way. No way. He told me so.

And because he told you so it's gospel? Yeah right!!
He's the most pompous, self absorbed exec out there even with some pretty good company by many other of the same type. If he had all the right answers why did he leave and take his 15 million with him?

Ya know, I've got the US PBB archives on my hard drive. A quick review of them would reveal that the only thing that folks ever said about Rakesh was that he was an idiot and that they were more than happy to see him leave.

Now this.

"Doctor! Doctor! Where's my ativan????"

Itrade...I remember those remarks about him too but how soon they forget how he really was. Traveled around on a private jet, preached how when he traveled a concourse he could feel the fear in the air as he walked, screamed if his croissant didn't have the meat, lettuce and fancy mayo in his particular order and cut to his exacting standards not to mention how he liked to belittle people. Yes, the fearless leader from afar.

That sure was my recollection, but since I don't have the archives I couldn't make that statement with the same authority. I'm glad to see my memory isn't failing that badly. 🙂

Here are some of the few Rakesh quotes from days of old:

"Now {Bethune} gets to joing the ranks of Gangwal and Wolf for stupidity."

"Sorry I will and we all should not take responsabilty for the blunders of Wolf and Gangwal ... Wolf and Gangwal has dug us deep into a hole due to that and they want the employees to dig them out"

"Meanwhile Wolf and Gangwal proceed with their masterplan and work on replacing most of us with express employees."

"They (Colodny,Scofield, Wolf & Gangwal) have put us in this precarious position. Just how long can we keep making excuses for their arrogance and ineptitude at running this corporation."

He'll stay.

If he takes the money and runs, leaving the company in this state, he will never find employment as an executive in any corporation in America.

You don't take vital money that a company needs to operate while asking employees for concession #3, as we are circling the drain, and split town with millions in cash.

He'll stay, alright. He's greedy, but not stupid. He's too young to place himself in a position where he would not be "employable."
Pitbull, With all due respect, you are kidding, right? These guys are in a class of their own. They stick to each other like glue!! My feeling their is something on the horizen with MESA (for DAVE, I mean). His name escapes me at the moment, but, mesa ceo, and DAVE, are VERY good friends. I think he'll split with the cash, and put his brilliant management expertise to use at another sucker, er... I mean airline! <_< GOOD DAY.....MORE LATER

Has anyone every heard of Hans Mallo (Mullo, Maullo)????Not sure of the spelling of the last name. His name came up today in an interesting light.

I agree with PitBull's sentences #1 and #2 and #3.

As to Mesa - its John Orenstein - I don't think that Dave would go there. Its not the right track to from a major to a regional.

Interesting, mweiss, I have heard numorous individuals through out the company mention "work stoppage" in the last several months. It comes out as venting for the atrocities that are being put upon us all. I have yet to talk to one person who has any Faith what soever. I can't tell you how many times I have heard. "Why don't they just shut the damn place down and get it OVER with". 🙁
I think talk is the word of the day . You cant just start a work stoppage, unless your willing to pay the ultimate price.!

I believe it is in January of 2005 (?) that Dave gets a another boat load of shares of stock. Maybe that is why he is not bailing out now. Hang around, then inflate the stock and cash in again.

Well the stock sure isn't going to inflate itself, so if that's his strategy he must be expecting shareholders to have a higher opinion of the company.
