SANDY

I wonder if the Weekly Standard has a story about pork in Republican supported bills. I don't think it would take much investigating to find some. Therefore it is a tad bit dinsengenous to make it the GOP appear pure as the freshly fallen snow.

Seeing as Christie is a Republican.

Boehner gavels the House to a close without considering Sandy relief.

Err.............maybe because of all the pork, the Demorats put in it !

Doubt, very seriously, that the Republicans would have voted against Sandy relief, if it were just "Relief for Sandy" ! But you know the Demorats..............it's spend, spend, spend................who cares who's footin' the tab !

Give me a break! Since when do republicans care about pork or footin the tab.

They load it up send it down and stuck it up their ass.......Reid knows what he's doing. GOP pulls something like that and its goes 9.0 .

What game was the GOP playing? I'm going to theorize that they were hoping people would be outraged at the pork put in there by democrats. obviously that did not happen. Probably becasue as I have already pointed out most people know that both parites play the same game.

So where and when does this reckless spending stop?
GOP wants to talk about deficit reductions and end up demonized.
Stupid American people are in for a very rude awakening and it will fall at the feet of the DNC.

You tell me. The republicans like to talk about it but only if it means cutting things they don't like. Mention defense cuts and their response is we need to spend more. It's already been a established that not enough money is not the DOD problem.

If the Demorats were as concerned about the Sandy victims, as they pretend to be, there would be no pork !

Video in the article says a lot.

McGrath lamented the fact that nearly two months later, many Sandy victims still need aid and Congress has only been able to put forth a pork-filled bill that will only partially help those affected by the storm.
“He’s a phony. He’s a liar,” McGrath said of Obama. “He said to be face to face, that he is going to cut the red tape. We’re two months now no red tapes been cut.”
He also blasted Washington for allowing the nation to rack up massive debt. “This country is in debt. We are so eager to help other countries that we forget our own people,” he added.

Mickey O's pals at it again?

CGI Federal Inc., the mastermind behind healthcare.gov, is assisting the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the distribution of $1.7 billion in relief for Hurricane Sandy.
In a memo obtained by FreedomWorks titled, “Minutes of the 295th meeting of the members of the Housing Trust Fund Corporation held on May 9, 2013, at 8:30 a.m.,” CGI Federal is tasked with implementing the Disaster Housing Assistance Program. Additionally, they are asked to aid in the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program, an assistance program that had recently obtained $1.7 billion.

The Associated Press revealed Tuesday that a mere $700 million of the $60 billion federal aid package – 1.2 percent of the total funds – has been given to victims of super storm Sandy.
Nearly a year after the devastating storm, a majority of the 24,000 families that have requested monetary assistance have yet to receive a penny from the federal aid package.
