S80 Safe Emergency Landing this AM

Just another prime example of airline cost cutting. Fewer mechanics inspecting airplanes. If this airline would stop cutting its mechanic workforce and start bringing these folks back, then fewer incidents such as this would occur. The airline would be able to better maintain its fleet.

...wow, that's arrogant. So, if every mechanic were hired back not only would this have not happened, but no future accidents will ever happen. That's a pretty hefty guarantee!

Let's be slightly realistic for just a minute here. Nobody got hurt...I don't think anyone was even really injured. That's pretty darn good. Consider that just a week ago two perfectly well maintained vehicles collided last week in Pittsburgh and one of the people involved got pretty seriously injured. This is a great outcome. Accidents will continue to happen regardless of the quantity and quality of the maintenance staff.

p.s. How do the people who keep bashing the mechanics (aka scabs) at Northwest explain this occurence????
