Rumor For Mechanics And Utility. Anyone Else Here?

:shock: I am hearing through the grapevine that the company is once again trying to get rid of GSE (ground support) and utility (cleaners). This was brought up during bankruptcy negotiations and then was gone. Are they going to try to do this now? This would certainly be another moral killer as if we need one. Anyone else hearing this?
 
There are no talks in regards to this issue, we have the scope language which was modified for utility, we own the work.

thanks for your response lavman. do you think they will talk..or say "we feel we have the right to do this" like they are saying about outsourcing the A/B heavy check?
 
Don't be surprised if one day you wake up and find that the IAM....STRUCK A DEAL WHEN PROVOKED......and saved the Airbus farmout.....at the cost of the UTILITY WORK GROUP <_< .

Naaahh.....they would never do such a thing right LAVMAN?? Then again, You might want to speak with someone in the UAL Utility Dept...or should I say what's left of it??

I do post FACTUAL INFO...just like the stuff I saw on paper at the CLT-AMFA info meeting. Here's a new concept....Ask a question and get an answer that's backed up on official documentation....that's what you get with AMFA :up: .

Ask a question to the IAM and you get any of the following:
We can't answer that at this time.
We have nothing new to tell you.
We can't tell you that because it's secret.

Do these people really have the mechanics interest in mind when they are at the table? HELL NO! :angry:
 
I have started seeing some of the red shirts some of the shop stewards are selling in Pit. Very nice shirt , same message as the buttons, only one small problem......On the back of the shirt there is a message to Dave about not farming out the Airbus work signed sincerly the IAM. Check out the spelling folks....sincerly(sincerely) is not spelled correctly on the shirts. Not only do we not "understand" we also cannot spell!!!! :shock:
