Does anyone know how the reserve system works at HP?

What would be the best way to integrate both systems?

you can read about the AWA reserve system at www.afa66.org. Click on AFA/AWA Agreement then go down to section 9. They have some nice things that U doesn't have. It would be better for the U fa's to go with AWA's scheduling.

Basics

Reserves will be awarded a line made up of days off and RV(reserve) days.
RV assignments will be awarded by 1600 the day prior.
After 1600 the reserves call a special hot line and are notified of one of the following.

1. A stanby shift ( on call period) Currently stanby shifts are SA 0100-1300 SB 0700-1900 SC 1500-0300

2. A ready reserve shift (Hot reserve, airport standby).. those flucuate depending on the time of year. There are currently 7shifts

If you have no assignment on the hot line then you have been pre-assigned a trip
and you can call scheduling.

And of course schedules are available via the internet.

sounds alot like HA's rsv system

Does anyone have numbers for the rest of the year on how many people are coming back from VF furloughs in December? I heard about 800 or so are scheduled but not sure if any had extended. Also, any numbers on how many early retirements are still on the books? With seniority slipping farther down the ranks and reserve becoming a reality for a lot of us....just curious how bad its going to get.
