Caputo ain’t lying. During Obama’s term in office, the Democrats have lost 13 Senate seats and 69 House seats in Congress alone. At the state level, the results have been even worse. Twelve gubernatorial seats, 30 state legislative chambers and 900 state legislative seats have all gone from Democrats to the GOP since 2008, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

While trying to put a good face on it, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow told “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd that it was on a strategic level that the Democrats were losing.
“What’s happening is the Democratic Party is getting smoked strategically by the Republican Party,” the ultra-liberal Maddow said in a rare moment of insight. (She’s usually much more clueless.)
“They invested heavily, particularly in advance of the 2010 cycle, in winning state legislative seats all across the country that nobody in the national press cared about. They flipped enough of them to flip enough legislatures to flip the congressional map that locks it in for a decade, and the Republicans are thinking that way. Democrats just aren’t.”

However, Caputo admitted that Obama’s lack of likability had harmed the Democrats, as well.
“You also had, in addition to that, folks not liking Barack Obama very much, so if you were running for office, you ran away from Obama and Obama’s people didn’t run toward you to help,” Caputo said.
When even NBC is calling the Obama administration out on its lies, you know things must be bad.

New York (AFP) - Donald Trump on Sunday abruptly scrapped a news conference designed to showcase his support from black religious leaders, as African-American pastors lined up to deny they were willing to endorse the Republican frontrunner.

It was an unusually public U-turn for the billionaire real-estate mogul, 69, whose controversial campaign last week invited the world's media to Trump Tower in New York for a press conference on Monday.
