Don't want to know what a dispatcher makes. From my perspective at the other end of the paper chain (or ACARS screen), a good dispatcher is worth every penny of whatever he/she makes, and then some. And we have some of the best ....

ps - for those that don't know, the dispatcher is co-responsible for the safety of the flight. Unless they & the captain agree that it is safe to proceed with the flight, it doesn't go. They can cancel a flight, divert a flight, add extra fuel, etc, just like the captain can. (Well, technically the captain can't cancel a flight - the dispatcher, in coordination with others, decides to cancel or get another airplane.)
