Psa Takes Delivery Of Crj70

Show me the inequality of the J4J program!

If they play their cards right, PSA will triple in size. If they screw it up by getting greedy, they take their careers in their own hands. They should get the jobs for 30 of the jets, no matter what size they are. If the rest are 70 seaters, it should be 100% J4J pilots flying those jets.

Why? Because U management got the money for those jets by taking the U pilots retirement money!

I agree that no PSA pilot should be without a job...and a better one flying a jet instead of a turboprop. I suppose it is a windfall for a U pilot who has 15 years flying for a major airline making a third of what he is used to? :( Some windfall.

Boomer :(

The CRJ-700s will not be flown until US Airways and Mainline ALPA agree on RJ Scope Relief and US Airways, the US Airways pilots, and the PSA pilots agree on J4J.

Once the issue is resolved I expect to see PSA sold, probably to Mesa.

And Mesa is getting the money from where? Mighty, mighty mesa.
Dave is not going to sell PSA. Go back to your US/UA merger theory. Or is it NW? Not sure of the merger of the week.

Skyguy25:

Mesa recently placed and then closed a debt offering for $100 million. The funds have been allocated in the corporate treasury and are available for the purchase of PSA. Moreover, I have been told by senior management that PSA will likely be sold and I am speculating (although there is some reason to believe) the buyer will be Mesa.

USA320Pilot, a few weeks ago you said that we would not have a choice to agree to anything regarding the 701s. Now we do? Whats up with that?

A few days after Mesa got that cash, they placed an order for 20 more crj 700/900 with 20 more options. I believe that is what the cash was for....not for PSA.

Once again the Scope Language is the issue. Our Mainline Pilots care not about the WHOLE company, just themselves. It is this type of ATTITUDE by our PILOT GROUP that has kept USAirways alway behind the eight ball regarding RJ's, and this is the reason most RJ flying is contracted out. IT'S CRAP............. JUST SHUT IT DOWN BOYS, because you don't care about anyone but yourselves.

I understand that PSA are interviewing new hire pilots from off the street for class dates. Would it be a smart move at this time to accept a position and start training? How long will PSA hold on? What is the attitude of the pilot group there these days? Thank You.

The most efficient and economical thing for PSA to do is let everyone fly all the jets. Scheduling has a hard enough time crewing what they have right now. Let's complicate things even more by splitting the pilot group into separate aircraft! PSA has a great opportunity to move ahead and be one of the few pluses for USAirways. Just do it!

Anyone have a pic or link to one of the first delivered CRJ700?

Of course, someone with photoshop could probably edit an F28 with a new paint scheme, which will be what this plane will look like anyway.

Just look across the ramp @ Comair or AMR Eagle, they have already been operating them for some time now. Also Mesa operates them for United Express and America West Express.

Comair and Eagle do not fly them into CLT, and I have seen the -700 and -900 Mesa has. Was just trying to see how it looks in US colors.
