Psa Pilot Alliance

Tbone,

The issues between PSA, PDT, and ALG are alot deeper then most know. None of us can claim "not" to have done or tried to do backdoor deals, none of us.

But I certainly was'nt expecting them to try and do what was tried a few weeks ago. It just seemed lower than anything that was tried before.

Do what a few weeks ago? Oh I see, you're spinning the idea that PDT was in some kind of whipsaw negotiation for the PSA CRJs. I am intimately familiar with the issues that run so deep, and I can tell you with great certainty that it was a Hawaiian shirted chairman (ST) that did all the whipsawing - of his own MEC.

You may also be surprised to know that there are indeed some who have not tried to do backdoor deals. If there weren't, I can tell you that there would now be CRJ 700s at Allegheny. About May of 2003, there was a proposal put to the ALG MEC to allow Group to put the CRJ705s then 701s on the property. It never came to life because of the whipsaw that it could have created. That's right, a majority of the ALG MEC stood firm to stop a whipsaw of all 3 express WOs. You can spin it otherwise, but I know that to be the truth.

Interestingly the whole Jets-for-Jobs thing was brought to life by the PSA MEC, who were the weak link that broke the pdt/alg/psa line holding solid to protect the wholly-owned express carriers' pilots. Jets-for-Jobs was dying on the vine when PSA capitulated (spare us all the complaints about losing Jobs and Superseniority at PSA) embraced it and gave it new life

By the way, ALG and PDT signed restructuring agreements in 2002 that make it possible for those CRJs to go to either property. No whipsaw or backroom negotiation required.

You guys at PSA deserve exactly the MEC you have left in office, and whatever actions they have taken "for you". The blame belongs nowhere else but upon your own shoulders for allowing them to vote on such issue without ratification.

It is no one's fault but your own.

No one.
