Mr. Nelson...
Lost the election as president of TWU-Local 513/DFW, at American Airlines. The sellout, has now taken a job with American Airlines, in Human Resources- We sure know where his priorities are...., and have been!

Just joins the ranks of many before him. Besides Little was in management and went to the international.

BTW...I hear that the ex-President of local 567, not the one in prison, just married a higher up member of AA management.

I wasn't aware that unions adhere to the caste system so tightly....

When dealt with Mark across the table, there was no question his priorities were with the members first and foremost.

Good for him in finding a 9/5 job. You should consider yourself lucky to have someone with more than just a management view trying to come up with policy and evaluate grievances. Perhaps he'll be a voice of reason that is sorely missing in a profession filled with MBA's and JD's.

Well, it is quite evident then, from what I have been told- "A two faced man is unstable in all his ways", that quote comes from the scriptures. Being unstable, when I am paying union dues, for him to represent AA, is a crock of ####- Many grievances went down the toilet, because they would have set presidences, against this company- Not to worry, the turnout at the Union Hall, was huge!! AA, is in for a rude awakening- , because we are tired of their corruption, lies, and sorry ass managers- :p Stay tuned...

Not that it's our preference, rather, necessary for survival.

When dealt with Mark across the table, there was no question his priorities were with the members first and foremost.

Perhaps - not familiar with his dealings.

That would be nice, but as most of us know from experience the 'voice of reason' turns to 'management view' in order to continue one's employment in a salaried capacity. The company is not interested in common sense, only its policies - that's what a salaried position means - company first. A true 'voice of reason' would last less time than a snowball in hell.

A real craftsperson takes greater pride in themselves and their work than to become a company stooge - perhaps there's a company somewhere where being 'part of the team' actually means something but I've not found it yet and it certainly isn't American Airlines, whether it be union or salaried.

The next and newest T-Shirt in Tulsa - get your orders in now.

Although shown on front of t-shirt, this will actually be on the back of the t-shirt.

Sorry, but while that's great shop-talk, it's not even remotely true. Perhaps under Crandall, but there's a lot more dissent within HDQ and the rest of management than most people would expect.

Again, BS. I lasted 15 years at HDQ -because- I constantly questioned the status quo.... that included the PUP, Wright Amendment, and a bunch of other issues that didn't exactly endear me with some of the higher ups. Only one person (now a VP) ever really appeared to hold a grudge, and that's because I contradicted him in front of Crandall, but even he got over it with time.

Well, there's your problem... Wasn't Mark a crew chief in Fleet Service?

So you consider yourself to be a "Voice of Reason', you questioned PUP, Wright etc and you are no longer employed at AA.

Timeline may be off but sounds like you admit The Goose is right, the Voice of Reason has as much of a chance at AA HDQ as a snowball in hell.

Thanks for your vote, Bob, but there'll always be this argument between the office and shop, so to speak.

To paraphrase an old Harley-Davidson advertisement -

For those who work for a living, no explaination is necessary. For those associated with management, no explaination is possible.
