Just heard C Con has had a power failure causing a major mess..Ground stop in effect for arrivals...Heard it may be a Duke Energy failure, I believe standby generator powers very little in concourse....

Don't know how many flights ended up cxld, but I think last bank was around 14. It was a real cluster .... to say the least. Lots of stranded folks tonight & US is not providing anything as they said it's not their fault . Psgrs on their own.

we had 3 or for clt turns real late. half the pax were rerouted to Airtran and some went to IAD and flew out to GIG. then BA also got several of our pax going to DUB via LHR

The latest update from wsoc tv said 50 flights were cxld.

Partial transformer failure, Duke Energy & the City had concourse powered up @ 05:00 this morning...No fault on US part at all....
