Pondering Employment

Hello,

I am pondering employment with CO as an agent. I was curious what the employee benefits package is like. It seems so standard to throw out "free flights" when in reality, every company is different on how they divvy up your flight package. Also, for an Agent, I know they give you per diem up front, but are you actually paid while in training, or do you not get paid until after you complete everything and two weeks after you get back to work. Just out of curiosity, why does it take 3 weeks of class for the ramp when every other airline has you in and out of there in 10 days?

so to recap:
1. employee flight benefits:
a. parents
b. companion (for those not married)
c. buddy passes

2. training paid or not and why 3 weeks? Are they just getting some free labor at the hub for a few weeks?

Thanks for any assistance (im currently deciding between 3 companies right now so don't freak out when you see this thread more than once in another forum)

All members are covered after you complete your initial training. You will also aquire 2 round trip passes or 4 one way vacation passes after your 6 month probationary period.

2. training paid or not and why 3 weeks? Are they just getting some free labor at the hub for a few weeks? You will get paid for the 3 weeks for the initial training by law. Nothing is for free.

Oh yeah! to answer your question why does it take 3 weeks of initial training? The number one rule on the ramp is SAFETY FIRST!....one week on the books and two weeks of on the job training
