Okay....It's not bogus.  Should the stars and bars be displayed as an enemy in our countries history....or should it be displayed to honor the brave men who fought against the United States?
KC my original question was even if you don't agree with their  politics, It did happen. They did exist. It is part of our history. The museum displayed, not only German WWI, and WWII, flags, and uniforms. North Viet Nam, and Viet Cong, flags, and Uniforms, Civil war Union flags, and Uniforms, but nothing at all Confederate. I'm not talking about honoring any of them. What I am saying is that I resent the fact that the left is trying to rewrite our proud history to satisfy their own political agenda through political correctness. I asked the attendant at the front desk if this was do to " political correctness"? I asked twice. His reply both times was "no comment"!

Yes...it's a well known fact that prior to a certain act of 1964, the south was overwhelmingly racist and overwhelmingly democrat.  Today the south is overwhelmingly republican, but "I am not a racist".   And Kudos to the republican party for being able to get so many of those former redneck racist democrats to see the light and vote for the civil rights act.  The republicans have been at the forefront of the civil rights movement since the days of Lincoln, and it is refreshing as hell to see how downright progressive so many Southern red states like Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia have become when it gets down to civil rights.
Was this before or after the fictional party switch that never happen?

I just think that the republicans should be commended for changing the attitudes of those racist southern democrats....or at least for pushing so hard to get those racist southern democrats to leave and move to California and New York.  But it was kind of heart warming to see those members of "the party of Lincoln" speak out about the need to keep flying the flag of an enemy of the United States over their capitol buildings.

So what you're saying is all those "racist southern democrats" are now in California, and New York? I'll bet Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary, will appreciate you calling them that! ...... Hey! I'm a conservative that believes in States rights. And if the majority of the people in any given State want to fly Grandma's undies over their Capital, that's their business.

They must be somewhere else.  Either that, or the racist southern democrats are now racist southern republicans who want to honor an enemy of the United States of America.   But this is your thread...you didn't see the stars and bars in a display in a United States Military museum.  Would you want them to portray the stars and bars for what they were - an ENEMY of the United States of America...or would you want to HONOR the soldiers of the army that KILLED soldiers in the military of the United States of America.  One is rewriting history.  Remember...I'm agreeing that what you saw wasn't bogus.  So how do you feel the stars and bars SHOULD be presented in a museum at a Fort of the United States military?

No, pretty much the Dixiecrats are all dead. The 'surge' in Republican demographics into the south is primarily due to job creation in the south since the 60's.

I want the Union Jack recognized as part of my history as an American and so do a boatload of Brothers.

You are wrong.   I am 59 years old.  I was born and raised in the south.  Grew up with a lot of children of "dixiecrats".  They still hate those damn blacks as much as their parents did.   They just vote republican today.  And.....they aren't shy about sharing their feelings about blacks (and now Hispanics and Muslims - thank you Donald) with THEIR kids.  It's a pretty vicious cycle.  A nasty cycle.  But as much as the GOP doesn't want to admit it - those racist southern democrats are now racist southern republicans.

Thank you for your service.  Do you think that a US Military museum should honor the Viet Cong?  Because honoring the CSA and all that it stood for is no different.  They were both enemies of the United States Military
