This is all pork. U will scale down the PIT operation, no doubt. What will be left is pretty much what you see now, an airport dominated by regional a/c. In the end U will continue to invest their energies in PHL & CLT. Talk about an IND operation is just talk. What we should all be concerned about is the counties desire to fill those gates. In the past PIT has always worked with U on keeping others away and ensuring dominance. What now? Southwest might come cricling and the airport management might throw them a bone, but I think this is unlikely. However, a company like Airtran who in the past has been interested in PIT expansion might give it another look. The point: we may have so pissed off the county they might go wheeling and dealing with another outfit which in the end would mean more of the same for this airline; another market lost to industry erosion.
