Pit. Express Station

Please define MOSTLY.
...I'm an agent in a smaller station, would like to know what part of the contract allows any agent not to work the 170's or any a/c. My understanding of the contract is, that I do any work (in the F/S range) that I am assigned to do. I think I can even be assigned to work C/S up to 25% of the time if needed (company hasn't done that yet, but I THINK it is worded in the contract that it can be done).
i've only seen someone who was not a supervisor down there maybe 2-3 times. For some reason, agents are never down there unless they are working a mainline flight at 43 or 46.

Saw this thread, and I couldn't resist.

Yes, there are mainline agents working EMB-170's at PIT. They are mostly ramp leads who have been signed off on the plane. The IBT local for PSA's customer service agents has been trying to find out why Express isn't handling those aircraft when they are supposed to be the ONLY ones working on those planes.

Training for EMB-170's and CRJ-700's was supposed to start for PSA employees this summer at PIT, but with mainline handling the 170's and the supposed grounding of the 700's in DAY, no one knows for sure if the training will actually happen. From what I've heard, Express management is supposed to get trained first if they haven't already.

Incidentally, I was told that there were two 170 flights going to MCO for a while in April. I haven't checked to see if that's still the case.

WAS true! It has either already ended or will be ending by June. It is no longer in the schedule.

I believe the airline is making a big mistake on Pittsburgh...Seems like Philadelphia is overload now with flights, has had luggage transfer issues, and not to mention the bad weather season...
Travellers like Pittsburgh for it great amenities...new shops & restaurants at "lower" than the usual airport gouging prices at other airports, easy gate concourse connections, lots of area hotel accommodations and close to downtown....
It helped relieve the problems when flights were cancelled at Phl, & Clt due to Weather or main issues...

While USAIRWAYS is shrinking, United airlines announced that they are bringing back alot of the "first class" ammenities that they had eliminated like fresh, hot towels, china, sundaes, etc...

From all the things I've heard over the last year or two, furloughed mainline fleet service agents were to be the first called back to work MAA flights (if/when there are enough flights to necessitate a recall).

It didn't sound like express agents were going to "flow through" at all. After furloughed mainliners were recalled (most of whom I'm sure will/would turn it down), then MAA would hire off the street, so if express agents wanted to move to MAA, they would have to go that route.

I know there are 10 million different stories, but none of the ones I heard involved express agents being the first ones to work MAA.
