Interesting article about Piedmont pilots seeking a contracat from Piedmont Management. Do'es anyone know how 10-year Captain and 5-Year First Officer pay at Piedmont compares to similar positions and time at other "turboprop" regional airlines?

It's not that bad compared to a lot of the regionals. I believe the figures they used were based on minimum guarantee, not average pay.

."Mohr noted that the two years since the contract became amendable is not a long time in terms of airline contract negotiations. "These types of negotiations tend to last,"

THE CONTRACT IS ALREADY 10 YEARS OLD......

Why do airline contracts take a dogs life to negotiate? Because the company is in no hurry to offer raises. And the railway labor act does nothing to help labor.
