PHL Rampers Fired and Arrested Soon?

What kind of system is this with direct supervisors authorizing OT and then not running reports to verify the hours before they are sent to payroll?

Good question. Glad I'm not the only one who asked it.

And just so there is no confusion: I DO NOT condone the sort of behavior that is currently occuring in PHL. Fire all of them if they are guilty, but be sure that they really are guilty and fire agent and management alike for the same thing. Don't let anyone slide if they did it deliberately.

Just fire them? It is theft, plain and simple. Send them to jail and give them a permanent record so they cannot do this anywhere else that runs a background check.

Only on this board will you find people siding with thieves instead of the guys catching them.

So, you are saying we should ignore the thieves in management and just concentrate on the thieves that are end users? Just paint me incredulous.

Geez, I hope they don't find out about the 2500 phantom employees accessing Workbrain over the net and drawing direct deposit paychecks to their Cayman Islands bank accounts.

Oops.

Workbrain: "Tis a wonderful program, really it is!"

So, let me get this straight...At PHL, they're now arresting employeesand not just angry passengers?

I can't wait to see the episode of COPS: Philadelphia Airport "Bag Thief Action Squad"

Let's see how many managers lose their jobs for allowing their passwords to become known. My guess is..........NONE?

Your guess is two too few. From what I have heard, 2 managers have also been terminated for their part in this mess. Others may follow.

The word is that there were one or two managers who sold their passwords to ramp agents to add overtime into the system.

Great leaders in PHL!

We can't even get overtime in customer service, especially in the morning ! Now I can see why ! There is no way that the managers didn't have a hand in this. Who is in charge of overseeing this overtime?

I wonder what’s more criminal , Executives and CEO’s who rob you of your pensions leaving you destitute in your old age and then slash your pay to poverty levels , finally abandoning the company they just decimated with their golden parachute having made millions in bonuses or impoverished baggage handlers who steal from a nameless faceless corporation that has abused them …

If the playing field were even, all of them would be held criminally liable. But what the CEOs and executives did was technically legal (if totally immoral.) It's a result of our capitalist system run amuck. And it's getting more "amucker" every day.

I thought you agreed to be robbed. Why do they always forget that detail

I'm sure that outcome would be in the mix. Just because I didn't state it doesn't mean I consider it outside of the realm of possibility.

IMO 15 rampers is the tip of the Iceberg. There have been persistant and ongoing rumors regarding US Airways PHL operation being essentially a criminal enterprise and now we're seeing some fire to go along with all the smoke.

I was told about this Tuesday and that those involved had until last Friday to turn themselves in..that's what a ramp sup told us as we waited for our 3 hour ground delay to get to ORD. He said that previously there was a sup. who was taking $50 buck kick backs for putting in the false O/T himself. The total of this thieving ring was over 1 million $$$ stolen.

All I know is they threaten to fire a member of the flight crew for taking a bottle of water off the plane...and they can justify these people not being thrown in jail on the spot ???

When you think about it though...if you stole thousands of dollars, would you admit it and start having payroll deductions made to pay back what you stole----when you are only making 8 bucks an hour ????
Give me a break ---that money is GONE!!!
