Overbooking

I know that this subject has been beat to death several times before, but it never seems to end with.... trans states is one of them,, flight is always booked to 52/53 then restricted to 46.. The plane holds 50 people no more ,, Please tell the 21 year old bean counters in tempe that they need to come to an express station and work an oversold flight especially on a sunday when everyone wants to go home,,, so guess what no volunteers!!!
maybe after several sundays of getting their asses chewed out they might reconsider what they are setting their overbookings at.. These inventory people go by their statisics and since the new computer doesn't do the correct job to record the oversales or dbs they are not getting the correct info.. so if you people in tempe read these boards .. please make sure your doing your job correctly because god knows i'm doing mine..
also it is my understanding that the mgmt doesn't care how many vouchers they give out, but if i tell these paxs that were db's to call the dot everytime this happens, maybe they will take notice..

Yield Mgt doesn't get your DB info unless you finalize your DB worksheet (CTRL +B, F1, Opt 11). You also need to indicate if the flight was a downgrade or w/r.
