Jesus H Christ on a Popsicle stick! When it comes to bad PR US airways attracts it like Trailer Parks attract tornado's!! Could it be the end result of the high cost of cheap?

Little birdie told me this will look like a tempest in a teapot when the scandal over at the CLT maintenance hanger hits the papers. Apparently work "sign offs" have been, well, not so good. Feds are on it.

Folks, is there a chance we can back on track and exchange insults?

The topic was the reported security lapse and if it was serious or if WSOC was blowing it out of proportion. ( Of course, I would be shocked, shocked, if WSOC was trying to make US look bad! )

This could have been an employee leaving his/her SIDA badge on a jacket and being swiped in by a co-worker. (Sure, not a bright thing to do, but hardly a risk to aviation security) Or it could be something more scary.

Due to the widespread public knowledge of the breach, I don't think WSOC went to far....Shuttle busses were held, employees were unable to leave, and I believe numerous a/c were held and/or returned to the gate..Even though it was probably a lapse in judgment by the employee, if it were swept under the carpet, you know what would be reported then..

What did happen? The only articles I've found say pretty much the same as WSOC --- "a person accessing airport premises by not using proper protocol. "
