NW's HDQ under contract

You are factually incorrect to argue that FL was anything more than EA was.

But since you deal in dirt instead of facts, we wouldn't expect you to get it.

and no, ATL would not be and never has been a single airline hub.

DL can win WITH competition. Let's see how far AA's share falls with WN's growth at DAL since you and others have argued that DAL and DFW are one market.
LOL

FL set up shop not long after EA failed. Logs and specks

EA failed in 1991

J7 commenced operations in 1993 and did not acquire FL (original) until 1997.

"Mighty" DL allowed J7/FL to grow and prosper in ATL until the WN purchase in 2011.

Please, do spin away and tell us how fiercely mighty DL protected the ATL hub and squashed FL.

I'm pretty sure NW would never allow anything like that to happen in MSP, DTW or MEM.

Spin spin spin away!

Neither does DL. Witness DAL

And DL not only steals other airlines' sand but they have defended and grown the heartland

Whos cares? In case some haven't noticed, all majors have merge............some a better fit than others. To tell you the truth though, I wouldn't want to be involved with the AA/US merger. From reading just some of the posts there, the unions there seem to be more concerned with how all of them can manage to stay on the premises vs. whats best for their members!

Yes there have been mergers and despite the sale of a few buildings and a kitchen, DL is immensely better off today because of what NW brought just as with other mergers. Some outstanding people joined DL from NW. History will likely view DL-NW as the best executed and best strategic success of the megamergers.

Sold.

Delta Air Lines Inc. sold the former Northwest Airlines headquarters in Eagan to an investment group for $10.4 million, according to sale information made public Monday.

Delta wanted $24.5 million for the property in 2009, the year after it announced its plans to acquire Eagan-based Northwest. It lowered the price to $17 million in 2012, two years after the merger closed.

That's a pretty big discount... Visine at any cost, eh?

Speaking of which, I wonder if it still has the giant NWA logo on the roof?
The logo got painted over in 2010, unfortunately. There's still a huge circle on the roof where it used to be -- those who know will still recognize it if they know where to look..
