What is the difference between Y/F3 and Y/F5? Is F5 unlimited? Why does a non-contract employee get a higher priority than a contract employee? Thanks.

For employees covered by a CBA the F5's are the normal unlimited passes and the F3 is the vacation pass that you only get 4 r/t's a year. Non contract gets unlimited F3. The reason? I'm guessing, but most non contract are management so it's a perk for them. As for QSA's (until they entered IAM), IT folk, and the analysts hey just get lumped in for the F3's as well.

Thanks for the reply.

DAL passes are by date of hire, then boarding priority goes by how you want to list. For example an S2-(vacation pass ) 2005 DOH would get priority over an S3 (regular pass) 1984 DOH. Contract-no contract, all by DOH. Even midlevel mgt, flies on DOH, unless on company business, then positive space.

I am assuming DAL will intergrate NWA pass seniority by DOH. Not sure. Seniority is all we have these days.

I guess it will all depend on the union elections. Us contract employees hate the system the way it is now...a mid-level mgmt person with less than a year seniority can bump a 30 year contract employee (Pilot, F/A, CSA, Ramper, Reservationist, etc.) ..its just not fair

Yikes! For Pinnacle employees, the reciprical flight agreements between NWA and DAL are not offered at this time. Makes me wonder what's in store for the non-wholly owned carriers after the merger!

What information has NWA management given to non rev on DAL. What priority? Does NWA get in business class?

Thanks

A co-worker of mine told me DL gets a 6j priorty on NWA flts and that boarding goes by when you list, can anyone confirm? If for some crazy reason it does go by when you list (hopefully not), would that be when you "meal list" or when you get on the airport stand-by list?

I have not heard anything about NWA flying on DL

Well, there is a link to the Delta employee's website that explains everything out. What I don't like is the fact that Pinnacle employees are excluded in the 1st phase. In the 2d phase, DL employees will have boarding priority OVER Pinnacle (NW Airlink) on NWA flights. DL employees can fly on Pinnacle aircraft but not vice versa...

I think that blows, What's good for the goose should be good for the gander (even though it helps me).

As a former NW aircraft technician, and a current Delta Connection employee, I will never non-rev on NWA's scab-maintained junk - I don't want to end up as a statistic on some NTSB report.

Why is this a problem? Pinnacle, DGS, Comair, (insert farm out name) are all farm out employees and should always board after mainline because they are not directly employed by that airline. At UA some farm out employees don't get flight bens at all.
