No Free Coffee on US Airways

The hospital charges for the TV. But it doesn't charge higher rates to those who need emergency care and have to be admitted at the last minute as opposed to those who planned their procedure six months in advance. The comparison is not valid!

Wrong!!! Emergency room visits cost a lot more than a planned procedure. That's because they must now 'accomodate' you as opposed to other 'emergencies.' What if it's a full moon night and the er is full of gunshot victims. Also if you travel by ambulance, the costs will be substantial. I got great insurance benefits and er co-pay are higher than planned hospitalization visits' co-pay.

Yes, I do have the billing to prove it!
 
I wouldnt say it has anything to do with the fares. WN is usually more expensive. People only THINK they're cheap. Their customer service is second to none. I have yet to encounter ONE disgruntled WN employee. It is simply amazing.

I use WN for walk up fares. When I'm flying US, and there is a delay, I'll call WN and back myself up on Southwest. IF I actually make it out on the US flight, Ill cancel the WN flight, no penalty, full cash refund. i dont know what the deal is but for some reason "weather" never seems to effect WN like it does US...

yep, I said it too that people 'THINK' they're cheap!

Can't comment on the 'weather' part, but planes(ALL) that fly where there is bad weather are put on hold, delayed or cancelled.

Since WN isn't in my location...yet...I can't comment if they will be affected by weather, too.

Dear Buffalo....you could only wish you where my kids...We are talkin business not family life styles. Again, you would only wish to be my kid at Christmas. Fly to my home city, come to our restaurant and be there the next Christamas morning and I want you to post how my kids were treated....DEAL? "Which" house do you want to come to, the one in the Southeast US or the one on the west coast....which is closer? I'd pick the one out west...it kinda overlooks the pier at Santa Monica. Your a classic example why I got out of the "cattle" hauling business that the majority of the manifest is...gimee...gimee...gimee type people.

Again, you are invited to join me at the holidays and see how my kids are WELL treated....but I don't think it will really even sink in!!

Not really...it's back to handing out free Coke...........this forum needs something more interesteing then the SAME people BI***ING about the SAME stuff over and over. It is hard to believe that the same people who don't even work for the company sit for hours and watch and respond to something they really have no say in. Kind of like going to a retail store...not getting what you think you deserve or anticipated but still for YEARS go on a website and put my two cents in...I can find far better things to do with my time then sit and make comments on a company that you were not satisfied with. FOR YEARS, and you know who you are. You can leave this board for a year, come back and its the same...same...same people posting. What people worry about that is really NO concern to them still wasteing their time typing away...If I'm not pleased with a vendor, Im NOT going to waste my time on a forum ranting about it. I will simply not do business there and that would be the end...people here want to be the avaiation gurus and complain about ANYTHING.

If you really want to know the truth...this whole forum has run its course and is very boring and stale. Same people...same complaining. A POSITIVE thread can turn negative in three postings. The worthiness of information here has run "its" course. Some people treat this board as a "drug". I left LCC two years ago and only the date has changed on the postings. Very STALE forum. Same people, SAME complaining, SAME negativity. Just an outsiders view. Its rather entertaining to skim through and see NOTHING has changed with the negativity on the LCC board. I'm sure many others here think the same thing.

It is entertaining though....NOT!!

Here is a much more accurate analogy of what US is doing using DoUgIe's hotel analogy.

You have multiple brands, let's call them Courtyard, Hampton, Wyndam, Motel 6, etc. I'm sure you will get the point.

All of these hotels have provided free T.V's in the room for years. Many people who DO NOT really do want a TV get one in their room for free whether they ask for it or not. I'm sure many people turn the set on just because it is free. Just think of the millions these chains could have saved if they didn't have to buy all those TV's. Remember now not every one watches that FREE TV in their room.

Then some bright hotel CEO gets drunk one night and says " not every one wants a TV in their room so lets just charge an extra $2.00 a night to those who turn it on. Let's make those who want to use this FREE service pay for it and not charge those who don't want a TV. "I bet we could make an extra 500 million dollars a year in revenue." "And I bet that after a while, no one would want to watch a TV in their room, so we will not have to spend millions buying the sets." "Somebody get out the spread sheets and see how profitable this is going to be"

Wanna guess what is going to happen to that hotel's business over the next year or so? Wanna hint or are you bright enough to figure it out on your own?

We had a shade over $10,000 net profit last night...Friday was even better. So thank you, the cash register IS doing very well thank you. $26.00 net profit per cutomer times 410 customers...yep my register was singing. This beats working for a living.

I remember one day at DFW we were in a ground stop due to weather (just imagine!). A female passenger started yelling at me that "this happens EVERY time I book on this crappy airline" (AA). I was unable to stop my mouth from saying "and, yet you keep booking on us. Why is that?"

To you, I will say "And yet you keep hanging around here and posting. Why is that?"

It's amusing to read and see what people are complaining about. Better then watching a movie. Notice I have only three hundred plus postings since 2002, not exactly a regular...it's real entertainment though seeing how we worry about a coat closet, a two dollar coke and how LCC is padding the schedule to look good. Who cares... Again, good entertainment every three or four months. Think I'm going to go into my local grocery store tomorrow and raise he// why they moved the apples where the oranges were yesterday. Crazy stuff man........Hey I ride AA quite a bit and have always had great service, keep up the good work
But thanks for asking why I stop by every three months...cause I need a chuckle to see whats pi**ing everyone off now. Hope that "splains" things. This my friend is real entertainment, second to none! No other place can you be entertained forum wise then right here...nowhere. Doesn't take much either to get the pudding stirred...

Again, bravo to AA...always been treated very well!
